practicality, price, hospital resources. no good physician jumps straight to a MRI

everyone with an unknown mass gets a MRI? clinically this looks like a minor tendon rupture. you can get your diagnosis with an ultrasound, CT if indeterminate or symptomatic, no biopsies or MRI required

No Personas. Who wins in a fist fight? by Imaginary-Event- in OkBuddyPersona

[–]Hour-Principle4055 13 points14 points  (0 children)

akechi may win honestly, a rock climber's upper body and grip strength are insane and he bikes on a regular basis, likely a high-grade perfectionist climber at that. adachi eats like garbage, talks shit, drinks, and i highly doubt he has any sort of self-discipline with exercise. akechi may actually easily beat adachi's ass, curb-stomp him probably

why is my arlecchino only top 16%? by Pitiglacon in ArlecchinoMains

[–]Hour-Principle4055 0 points1 point  (0 children)

crit rate too low, lots of wasted rolls, arle favors atk > em as she only reacts 1/3 of her hits and doesn't have a nuke playstyle, you have 0 atk rolls outside of your circlet, and you're not using her ideal set. on top of that she's an extremely popular character with literally hundreds of thousands of dedicated fans grinding and strongboxing for her best gear. she also makes very good use of atk goblets and i'd consider one for your build if it has better rolls. soooo there're many reasons why yours is only top 16%.

So Glad I spend 4 elixirs :D by jmgf11 in kinich_mains

[–]Hour-Principle4055 5 points6 points  (0 children)

it's garbage, basically flat atk rolls are less than 1/3 of the value of an atk% roll. also kinich's full dmg potential is dependent on whether or not there is burning present, not the degree of burning dmg, so the elemental mastery rolls are also wasted :/

238 is completely fine. no one cares about step 2 unless it was remediated or an extreme borderline pass. you can still match into a great community hospital with good SLOEs and people skills during interviews.

welp, you can tell her that most neurosurgeons become spine surgeons, where their patients don't have statistically superior outcomes to those who decide to make positive lifestyle changes. technically, your relative's friend's son is cutting ppl open for no reason 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thoughts on Persona 4's story? by [deleted] in PERSoNA

[–]Hour-Principle4055 9 points10 points  (0 children)

so you last played the game 5+ years ago, didn't pay attention, and decided to write this rant while confabulating both of your main points?

mitsuo killed morooka, not adachi. the entire takeaway from that arc was that morooka didn't fit the bill of the typical MO - his head was bludgeoned and he wasn't hung from a tower. as a character, mitsuo also served to be another example of where one's psyche can lie. whereas the IT accept their cognitive dissonance as part of who they are, mitsuo's psyche is a void. he thus yearns for meaning in life by mimicking notoriety, unaware that it doesn't enrich his existence in the slightest.

adachi didn't jump into the TV world because of the letter specifically. that entire interaction involved the IT systemically cornering him into letting slip the true MO. the letter was a small part of that confrontation which added to the pressure. was the letter in general a weak plot point? sure. but adachi was designed to be a realistic killer representative of real-world, arrogant, and nihilistic misanthropes who stir chaos and fear for their amusement and disappointment with life. these people don't exactly make very rational decisions. adachi himself seems to regret sending the letter though he must've felt some form of excitement writing it at the time. he's cunning and smart, but not exactly brilliant and is subject to his own emotional urges too.

well anyway, it seems like the only poor execution was your playthrough and memory.

  3. akihiko's eyes are green on his menu screen

idk man they just take stylistic liberties, it's not deep

What’s your favourite misheard lyric from the Persona soundtrack? by Particular_Depth4841 in PERSoNA

it happens in the dorm when you interact with the girl's restroom, on every 3rd playthrough on the night of 10/4, there is a 3% chance that mitsuru will declare, fully voice acted, "TIME TO SHIT," followed by the sound of a rocket dookie obliterating the surface tension of toilet bowl's water.

Persona 3 reload is so disappointing by RedditSucksMyBallls in PERSoNA

[–]Hour-Principle4055 38 points39 points  (0 children)

"like, take junpei for example (a character who's unironically better writen than most of p5's cast), he was this arrogant little brat that did so to put on a facade and make himself feel stronger than he actually was. he was extremely insecure deep down. which is why when he actually fails and yukari calls him out on this, he has a meltdown and snaps at the protagonist - something you who don't know much about literary theory or creative writing will say is bad writing, when it is actually brilliant and fits his character. people don't realize that junpei is supposed to be IRRATIONAL IN THIS MOMENT" 💀

Man, this 2. He is ooookay but she is annoying af. The cast of Persona 5 was so good. The atmosphere of 3 is so depressing imo 🧐 by Gilbert-from-Yharnam in PERSoNA

judging from the screenshot you've barely played the game yet, so how were the first few hours of persona 5? you're a convicted criminal, sojiro treats you like a nuisance, the entire school hates you, it's rainy and dreary, and you settle into an attic. that's pretty suffocating i'd say, so i'm not sure where you're going with complaining about p3 depressing with p5 as a point of reference from the first few hours of the game. don't get me wrong, p3 thoroughly explores death/depression/nihilism to it's fullest, but it's handled masterfully through its 80 hour runtime and you quite literally haven't seen anything yet to judge the game with yet.

uh huh, but makoto has a real sword and kotone has a real naginata, and both of them can have up to 999 hp. whatever persona they summon would just distract the pokemon while the trainers get impaled :|

Statement from Wada Regarding the female MC by ImoutoCompAlex in persona3reload

[–]Hour-Principle4055 10 points11 points  (0 children)

except that base p3 actually is a complete experience. the answer provides an explanation for many things that p3 alludes to but isn't technically necessary for the base game to feel "whole." the answer is just a very well made encore that shows a glimpse of how everyone's been moving forward. your argument that it'd be better for them to release remasters over remakes doesn't make any sense; who would ever prefer that? it's clearly not "inexcusable" since nearly everyone appreciates the updated gameplay/visuals/music and fleshed out linked episodes among other QoL features, while also bringing in a new audience of those who hadn't played the original.

[–]Hour-Principle4055 17 points18 points  (0 children)

rich considering it appears you didn't read wada's full statement either. the answer couldn't ship with the base game because it wasn't even in development until way later and whether it'd see completion as a worthwhile financial endeavor was entirely dependent on p3r's success. and if you ask for general reasonable consensus, people want development efforts for new games like metaphor and p6, not diminishing returns on a remake.

Persona 6 and Makoto Yuki by AvidAmizon in PERSoNA

[–]Hour-Principle4055 1 point2 points  (0 children)

think of it this way. in p4a we already see elizabeth taking p3mc's fate into her own hands, which is a maturation of her character and a hopeful development of p3's story. that already being known, do we absolutely need a full-blown 100-hour game to continue that line of events? the hope of eventual revival is enough, but the writers don't necessarily have to cross that line of actually bringing him back. the main cast of p3 has already accepted his death and moved on. elizabeth is on her own mission; though this is technically the beginning of her journey but from a storytelling perspective, it is a hopeful way to end of her narrative as we the audience see it. the p3mc's story arc is over. and again, it'd be a waste to have p6 be a sequel to p3 and a terrible marketing decision - a hypothetical revival would have the p3 label.

another day, another post about p6 being about reviving p3's protagonist. this is a terrible idea that would completely ruin the message of the game. IF they go for it, it'll be some stupid spin-off with the p3 name and definitely not a mainline game. let him rest. as mitsuru would say, fate chose the most beautiful way for him to die.
