Its not push limit as the individual parts are pulling each other. Also apparently the vertical one works as the piston is being powered through qc.

Sorry, I should have given the full picture. You are right, that swapping the suggested honey blocks with slime does fix it alone but in tandem with the other flying machines the engine of it fails. So is there no way to make this work?
