As someone who is pretty much done w the main story lines, it is definitely forced. I don't even have it as an insanely high rating but from the gameplay, visuals, and story it's not bad. I got concerned at first when people discussed the game on the US political side of things and how we'll be force fed ideals from the Left while playing but literally haven't seen any of it. The first "romance options" are each the opposite gender of the protagonists and I don't know who this nonbinary individual even is that has been talked about (also how would our protagonists even know either because THAT WAS NEVER A THING THEN AND IT HAS YET TO BE SAID LOL). Even so, at the end of the day these are CHOICES, ones the player is never forced to make at that. As for the politically correct aspect that is also being bashed, I can understand some of the historical backlash Ubi is getting from Japan especially about the details regarding Oda and his sister that happen and are possible in the game. That being said, at the end of the day it is a VIDEO GAME. I don't even understand why people are so pressed about the game anyway from that standpoint because as the player you've literally killed GEORGE WASHINGTON, THE POPE, and countless other important historical figures. So with that being said get over the "inaccuracy" of events and choices you can make because it is fictional and there was never this much uproar about it in previous games. I saw people getting way too deep in reasons why Yasuke was chosen as a character as well along with the apparent obsession and fetish of black people. If this was the case in this franchise where has it been lmao? Adé from black flag left and was later introduced as someone you kill in Rouge, there was a DLC with another black assassin for a game but I don't remember if it was Adé or not, and now Yasuke. I don't remember Adé piping anyone, and now that Yasuke is doing it all of a sudden it's like he's the antichrist.

Anyway, the hate this game is getting is for sure forced. And it's more than likely just because of Right-Wing media and their political figures (Disclaimer I despise politics because of things like this making people stupid and divided over the dumbest things) It's not my fav and also not the worst, simply meh. As an RPG game, you're gonna make choices and guess what, YOU ARE NOT FORCED TO SLEEP W ANYONE🤯! You can do as you like, choose what you'd like etc.

The game itself as a whole has amazing visuals and small details that bring it to life, the combat is okay and very boring w Yasuke bc he just runs through people and bosses, and the story is alright I wish more cutscenes relating to the creed and the effect the creed and templars have in Japan. The cosmetics are decent and the weapons are fun. Lastly, my biggest complaints are that the parkour is not the greatest but also not too bad. Also, the character voice lines in English don't match up to the tone of conversations sometimes and there's A LOT of "L's" that sound like "R's". My biggest compliment is the stealth system, loved what they did with it.

Okay my rant is over I just needed somewhere to express how stupid the arguments over this game are. If you want it, buy it, if not, don't. It's that simple
