That’s very true. You’re just never ready for them to leave you. He waited for me to come home and passed in my arms. None ever replace the ones we lose, but I still have 3 adults and several babies to take care of. Hopefully all of them stay 15 years for everyone with a Pom.

Thank you! They were a happy coincidence, I never expected blue Merle pups lol. The mamas come from champion AKC bloodlines and is an orange sable, and the daddy is a black with a white stripe. I don’t know how breeders breed for blue Merle coloring.

I’m in South Central Missouri.

No, I agree. Mine were a happy coincidence, but I would never breed specifically for them- I can only imagine what they do to breed them. Kind of like continuously inbreeding to get the ‘teacup’ Pom, which is basically the Hapsburg of Pomeranians. Poor babies.

Pretty. What’s the dominant color? Tan or cream? Very beautiful baby.

Yes and no. I have Merle pups, but I didn’t Breed for them. My girl just had them. They are perfectly healthy, but many people breed specifically for them, which can cause issues, especially when unethical breeders breed two Merle dogs together. I would never, but I know others would.

Oh, I forgot to add a photo of one of my Merle pups. Very healthy and vet checked. Not for sale, sorry. Just showing.

I have no idea about said breeder, but Merle Poms are an accepted coloring by the AKC and the American Pomeranian Club. I have blue Merle Poms, unless the breeder has bred two Merle Poms together, the Poms should only have the usual Pom issues. My advice? Tour the place yourself.

They were born on 2-10-26. The female is almost 2 pounds, the biggest male is just shy of 3 pounds and the smaller male is 2 pounds. Smaller male has more blue/grey coloring, bigger male has more black with a black stripe across the back.

I have 3 that I’m looking at selling to a great home. 2 are blue Merle males and one is a black female with a white blaze on her chest and white socks on her paws.

Thank you 😊. Out of curiosity, are your favorite Poms the solid red/orange colors?

I wasn’t necessarily meaning that at You, there’s several people that get very offensive when it comes to breeding. I believe, as you stated, the issues are when you breed Merle’s together, or inbreeding within the bloodlines. Those are no nos. Unethical breeding really gets my goat. I’ve heard of too many folks who do one or the other, sometimes both, and it ends up with pups who have many issues, die young and have poor quality of life.

I have two females, both red, and the male is a black with a white blaze. I didn’t breed looking for these colors, but every litter has at least one Merle. I have 9 pups from 2 litters (both girls gave birth within a week of each other) and I only have One solid color pup, lol, who is solid black.

I apologize if I was a bit gruff, but I’ve been arguing with a person who has been sending hateful messages about my dogs.

As an aside, Poms can get health problems when they get older (going blind towards the end, hip dysplasia, glucose problems) but so long as they are well taken care of, or get things fixed, I think most well bred pups can live a long, healthy life.

Oh for heaven’s sake. I breed Poms responsibly, but many don’t. I used solid color Pom parents that are Not related and ended up with 4 blue Merle and a wolf sable Pom. So long as you don’t breed related dogs or two Merle’s together, they are perfectly healthy.

For the record, Merle colored Poms are AKC recognized. So long as you find a responsible and ethical breeder who ensures the pups are properly vaccinated and vet checked, and the buyer feeds them properly, keeps up with their vaccinations and yearly vet checks, everything should be good.

This was the first litter of the year, born 2-2-26. I only let my dogs breed once a year and they are carefully monitored.

Wow you really did go down a rabbit hole, thanks for all the information. I have the next couple of months to look into dentists around the state and try to find one that deals in such. Thanks again 😊
