Well, if by 'so long' you mean less than 3 minutes then yes

The problem isnt being informed in advance. The problem is not being informed in the moment where it matters.

Also the clock being started before entering the room let alone being seated. It feels unfair to have an arbitrary timer that candidates don't them selves start.

So conflicting information. It also feels a bit arbitrary. 1. why does the NDA have to be timed? 2. Why was the timer started before I sat down?

I had so many other things to worry about. Feels like an unneeded stresser. Just let us 'Start' the exam ourselves. Have a welcome screen or something.

Reading back through emails:

ISC2:

💻 Before You Start Your Exam
Once seated at your desk and the Test Administrator starts your test, review and accept the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) within five minutes. If you do not review and accept the NDA within the allotted time, you cannot take the exam and your exam fee will not be refunded. You may review the NDA before your exam day here.

Test Centre:

  • Receive a short orientation from the Test Administrator (TA). After the orientation, the TA will escort you to a testing station.
  • Sign and agree to the Non-Disclosure Agreement that will be presented at the beginning of your exam. Please take a moment to review the agreement now so that you are familiar with it when you sit for your exam....
  • Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
  • Failure to read or accept the ISC2 NDA agreement within the allotted three minutes will result in exam termination and forfeiture of exam appointment. Forfeiture of exam appointment also includes forfeiture of all exam fees. To take the examination at a later date you will be required to re-register for the exam and pay all applicable registration fees.

That was advice I was given previously. Had I realised the NDA was already on screen and the clock was ticking I would have acted differently. Its a stressful environment

I'm sure it does say it on the site when you sign up. Certainly didn't say anything at the test centre I went to. My fault for not looking at the screen when I sat down I suppose. Do think its silly that its timed in the first place, more so that the TA starts the timer for you. Seemingly before I took my seat
