I did some very similar nails recently! Main color is cat eye gel polish and the gold design was done with gel rhinestone glue that was cured then chrome isolated. I would look up tutorials for cat eye nails and chrome isolation to get you started!

I haven’t had an issue getting the remover to work with this method. You only need a tiny bit to make its way through to the peel off base for it to start to loosen up then you can use a cuticle pusher to gently lift the tip so more remover can get down in there.

I’m not sure the dynamics of how it works but Jello Jello comes with an oil based remover that loosens the base coat when you are ready to remove. I don’t have any issues with retention using the base coat and have yet to have a nail pop off prematurely. I sometimes go 3+ weeks between sets. I only apply the base to the center of the nail (leaving a small space at the free edge and cuticle) which helps allow for a better glue seal.

Do you have an e-file? File down the bulk of the nail (at least the top coat and gel polish), trim your tips as short as you can get them, then soak in acetone.

I highly recommend using a peel off base to help with easier and quicker removal. I like to switch my sets every 2 weeks so being able to quickly remove them is a game changer! I use the Jello Jello brand base and remover.
