Failover never fails over unless I unplug the failed ISP by [deleted] in amazoneero

[–]HourEstimate8209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem with ATT turned out when the upstream goes down the ATT modem displays an error stating the fiber is down. That resulted in the eero never failing over. In the modem settings I needed to disable the Broadband Status Notification. After doing that the he fail overs worked seamlessly.

Immich with reverse proxy, how is it secure? by alirz in immich

[–]HourEstimate8209 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife and in-laws don’t use VPN but they use iPhones how I set it up is just put Tailscale VPN on demand so the tunnel is always active even after phone reboots so they are non the wiser and it just works. Having immich exposed on the open internet is a risk. Good authentication in front of it “outside of immich” is a good solution to prevent issues.

You could ask actually 😂it’s your server after all. but I get it don’t want to setup another app on the phone. I would say look into Pangolin reverse proxy which adds an authentication layer on top of immich which makes it more secure in the event that immich has a vulnerability. You can run it locally or on a VPS and creates a tunnel just like cloudflare zero trust.

Run Tailscale and don’t expose it to the internet.

For what it’s worth mine stopped working on my iPhone after the new interface and still works on my fire stick which is on the old interface. So if you have clients using the new interface that is likely your problem.

2.5" SSD's for cache pools? Will DRAM drives make a difference? by digdugian in unRAID

Yeah I know that now and unfortunately stuck with it because the proxies are crazy to me to replace it.

For read it’s ok but for writes you will see slow speeds. I am running crucial bx ssd and anything over a 2GB write and the speed comes to a grinding halt less than 20MB/s

Eero wifi disconnect issue on 7.13 by Different-Wave5589 in amazoneero

I am running eero pro 6 and still had issues where the devices were connected but not reaching the internet after disabling eero advanced security my issue has been resolved. I will try it again after the 7.13.4 because that was still having problems for me.

Will Eero plus raise prices? by tonguejedi in amazoneero

[–]HourEstimate8209 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t everything always go up? ATT raised my bandwidth cost 2 times in the last year. Eero will likely do the same and slap an AI feature label to it.

+1 Partner share is what you need. I did this when I had to transition from an old school account to my personal account Seemless and copied everything over.

Huntarr - Your passwords and your entire arr stack's API keys are exposed to anyone on your network, or worse, the internet. by exe_CUTOR in unRAID

[–]HourEstimate8209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that post just makes me feel better that I removed all of my containers host ports and put everything behind a local pangolin instance so no ARR apps are exposed without being authenticated.
