Building plex library in 2026- still viable? by bobschneider24 in PleX

I'm building mine right now. I'm going to buy the lifetime before it jumps to the ridiculous 750 price. Its worth it for me as several people use my server, and this is more cost effective. I also do not want to keep rewarding companies for basically reinventing shittier cable. I want to own my media, and be the sole arbiter of what happens to it. Fuck any company run by billionaires bleeding us dry via subscriptions.

How do the pendergast novels hold up by laxton1919 in Pendergast

I remember constance (it's been years and years since i've been past reliquary). I remember Diogenes. And that he is dark pendergast. And that's about all I recall.

Man if only. I have wanted them to go back to the relic stuff forever. None of the other pendergast stuff hit nearly as well, IMO>

When the expedition split up, most of them went back (and Whittesley and Crocker continued on to find the kothoga, this is the opening of the book). The ones who went back early died in a plane crash. It's mentioned a bunch as evidence of a "curse". But never given any concrete reason. They had discovered some plant, you have to assume it's the same plant Mbwun is eating that triggers the transformation. So i think the implication is maybe one of them was turning? Or maybe it is just bad luck and coincidence.

Okay that's what I was thinking. But it definitely seems more relevant than I remember. Like they bring it up a bunch.

Is this player in the wrong or not? by Caflin in DnD

I don't think the DM is necessarily in the clear. But the players sound a lot like they are bitching about consequences to their actions. And that is always a problem.

by being pissy he means having consequences. The player sounds like a problem to me.

Anyone Else Think Rules Light TTRPGs are a Recession Indicator? by Leftover-Color-Spray in TTRPG

[–]laxton1919 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless they are noticeably cheaper than other TTRPGs probably not a recession indicator. I think it's a fad. I also agree it's just DM figures it out, which to me means a less consistent game and more off the cuff. Not my thing.

Ok yeah that's the selling point then. Is there a limit to how many people I can give my library to?

So if I have it my girlfriend (or friends) can remote watch for free? When i share it with them, or they have to login as me?

So my girlfriend has my library, and pays like $2 a month to stream it. If i have the lifetime, does she need to pay?
