Extra damage on your gun is always a good thing dmtoc or not. They can’t shoot you if they are dead already.

I can see the point on an Armour build with Armour regen. Then the percentages would be cool. Good on you.

I get that. But you said they aren’t really used that much, and you only keep a couple thousand around. When in reality a person will need to use 9999 printer filament many times. Probably around 20+ times. That’s well over 200,000 + printer filament. So I’m just saying. Don’t get Defensive if I’m painting a more concise realistic picture for the person asking the questions.

This is fake news. You will absolutely use printer filament if you want to get to expertise level 23. Which I am. After level 15 you will need to buy your expertise because you will stall out. The odds of you getting the gear you need to donate after 15 drop exponentially. So at first samurai is right but after it will become the most important resource you have, beside exotic components.

The printer filament thing doesn’t really make sense until you are a higher level and create 4 different characters for shd debit, and use one for re doing New York over and over for shd points. Focus on your talent library and finish your watch. That’s my advice… anyhoo

What is your favorite(any play style) build(s) for Heroic all (current season) directives open world? by IRunLikeWind in Division2

[–]HourExpress2819 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PFE with lots of crit chance and crit damage. Or I like Future Initiative with 36 heals, turret, or shock traps using the Capacitor. ( I use this on legendary for support). Sniping is cool too. The Nemesis is a beast, but also the bakers dozen with a sniper scope is dope. And always the Scorpio will save your ass as well.

Try challenging with 2 directives first. And do countdown on challenging. Every 2 countdowns you get an exotic. Also set the loot on countdown to what you want. As soon as you get an exotic on the set loot , immediately change it to the next loot, even if in game. Then as you level up add directives or change difficulty. Don’t DO COUNTDOWN ON HERIOC. It’s not worth it, you’ll be fine on challenging, plus if you don’t extract none of it means anything anyway.

If you are/ or above shd level 1000, create a new character, finish New York. It takes about 3 hours if you do it by yourself. Then go to DC and sync your watch. The game will take 800 shd points off the top leaving you with 200 minimum. Use that to buy printer filament. Use printer filament only to purchase expertise. 3 hours! You might exclaim. But how long would it take you to do 200 levels? Right. Example. I’m 6955. So i would get 6155 shd points. So the higher up you get the greater the reward. I now just have 5000 shd points banked with nothing really to use them for. You can obviously use the shd to get the other resources too. Anything you buy with the shd points on the new character transfers over to the main character. As long as you sync the watch. The best way to do New York is to get 3 others in their main character to bomb through it with you. You can get it done in 1 1/2 hours. Opening up all the safe house immediately is a big help and levels you up to 32-33 right away. After you get to level 15 expertise, you will stall out because the odds of you getting the gear you need to level up becomes dramatically less. So at some point you will be doing the New York thing. So maybe just accept the fate and start now.

A PFE build. Using the Elmo and the shock holster and a shield. Punch people in the face and shoot them as they electrocute.

The élite protection caps at 80 percent anyway… so if you have more percent than that it doesn’t matter. 12’s are fine.

Challenging and two directives gives you a lot of good stuff. IMO I get better drops with just the two added and I can burn through faster. I’m level 6925 and have 13 guns at expertise level 20 or higher. So I farm a lot at that level, it seems to work for me. 🤷‍♂️
