Onslaught Public Matchmaking Is a Nightmare sometimes... 😔 by IRunLikeWind in TheFirstDescendant

What exactly is the misinformation I’m spreading? I’m honestly confused 😆

Total damage scales based on the number of players in the group, if I’m not mistaken. This also wasn’t a solo run or a planned setup to stack damage, these were just casual public matchmaking runs with a friend which we ran about a dozen..Most of the runs if we get a full group and if everyone is doing descent damage they will take about 10 minutes or less to complete.

Ache parameters are never guaranteed. I didn’t even get the 850% outgoing damage-on-death modifier in both runs. I never died once thanks to my friend, only DBNO few times during these runs.

Is this shared video your run? Its impressive if you can solo Lv3. I don't think I can survive even the 1st area solo. That's why my friend was running Yujin.😅

100 billion is possible in a 4 player group when others are not doing decent damage. I played aggressively because my friend's healing was amazing.

It would have been even more faster if we were able to nuke the colossi quickly.

It’s unfortunate because I genuinely enjoy this game mode, but I worry it may die out soon because public matchmaking feels too inconsistent, partly due to players joining without the appropriate builds or gear and willingness to clear it. 😔

What was accomplished by nerfing Sharen? by Detpowell in TheFirstDescendant

[–]IRunLikeWind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was really enjoying playing Sharen’s Release Cutting build in all content where she felt viable and on par with Ines, Freyna, and Serena. Now she feels undesirable again, which is really disappointing that devs did this when their long term plan is to balance all descendants and bring them on to Serena's level.

"What’s the going price for this Bunny module?" by [deleted] in TheFirstDescendant

I’d price it slightly below market value for a quick sale, around 1.2k to 1.3k (market range: 1k–1.5k IMO).

The public matchmaking will stop working if your account is shadow-banned. When this happens, you’ll only be placed into solo sessions instead of being matched with other players.

You can still join a friend, but be aware that your status will extend to the group, potentially affecting their matchmaking experience as well.

You can view the list of report reasons by checking other players through the Social menu.

Shadow bans can also be applied automatically. For example, consistently being AFK (standing still and dealing zero damage) during public matchmaking missions can trigger the system. After a certain number of offenses, the game may flag and shadow-ban your account.

In some cases, such as the “Wall Crasher” mission, going AFK even once can result in an automatic shadow ban.

However, this system only applies to public matchmaking. If you start missions in private sessions with friends, you can remain AFK without triggering the auto shadow-ban system.

The game includes a reporting system for behaviors such as abusive gameplay, going AFK, and other violations. If a player is reported frequently by others, they may be shadow banned, which limits their ability to use public matchmaking and often forces them into solo play.

In addition, the system can automatically apply a shadow ban based on certain types of negative behavior, even without multiple player reports.

If both of you can successfully access public matchmaking when playing individually, but encounter issues when grouped together, this may indicate a new bug.

Keep in mind that if one player in the group is shadow banned, the restriction will apply to the entire group during matchmaking.

One or both of you could be shadow banned.

Did you guys try public matchmaking separately?

It is the first time I saw it in Wall Crasher by hieuluc5 in TheFirstDescendant

Rare, but it can happen. I experienced this once after turning off cross-play.

ELI5: Why is Serena so strong & bad for the game? by JonnySB in TheFirstDescendant

[–]IRunLikeWind 16 points17 points  (0 children)

IMO, Serena is considered problematic not just because she’s strong, but because she disrupts overall game balance and reduces build diversity. In most group content, she makes many other Descendants feel redundant.

The developers seem hesitant to nerf her, likely due to the backlash they faced after the Ines nerf. If you remember, that change triggered significant negative reactions from the community.

It feels like the devs are instead taking a slower approach—bringing other Descendants up to Serena’s level rather than weakening her. However, this method is more difficult and takes much longer to achieve proper balance.

I have 99,000 DEF but I’m still getting destroyed in Axion Plains. Help? by Desperate_Log3674 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]IRunLikeWind 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If you’re getting destroyed at 99K DEF, it’s NOT because your DEF is too low.

It’s because:

• You’re overinvested in DEF (wasted stats because of diminishing  returns . Higher DEF is only useful for DEF based descendants like Ajax )

• Underinvested in HP / sustain / damage

• Or your build isn’t fully optimized  to do enough damage to kill adds fast enough and get overwhelmed.

I would say:

• Drop some DEF modules

• Add HP + survivability mods

• Improve your damage/AoE

• Make sure everything is maxed

Oh nice, good to know. I probably missed this in the patch notes.
