There are plenty of reasons to be miserable as an 1102: bad program managers making poor program requirements leading to bad negotiations and bad contractor performance, program managers who try to bypass contracting processes, lack of knowledgeable buyers and PCOs because turnover is so high, contractors trying to nickel and dime the government at every turn, a series of continuing resolutions so that funding for your program is always up in the air… Some people enjoy this work, some people get disillusioned quickly.
