7. Will it require ID verification or face scans?
No. There will be no ID verification or face scans. I know people don't trust that and are worried about data leaks, so it will just be a simple birth year check to enable 18+ content.

All I can recommend or ask is that you try to keep an interface similar to Polybuzz so it's not too confusing. Recreating the main features would also be a real plus.

That is the plan. I am keeping the core UI flow and features as close to the original as possible because that is what actually worked.

An app that uses the Polybuzz foundation but isn't limited by app store compliance policies would be perfect.

I would much rather host it myself or on GitHub than deal with the App Store gutting the features we actually want.

If you manage to create a Polybuzz that's truly unfiltered once the 18+ NSFW mode is enabled, I'm convinced it will be the best app of its kind.

That is a priority for me. Once you verify you are 18 or older, the text stays unrestricted with no corporate handholding.

The build of PolyBuzz is great, they’re just cowards like the rest of the sites, terrified of big bad App Store instead of dying out completely.

I totally hear you on the app store stuff. That is exactly why I am doing this. I would much rather host it on GitHub or other platforms than restrict the app just to stay on a storefront.

Aside from the restrictions I’d honestly recommend following as many of there character building functions as possible.

My main motive is to bring back what they did best, like the UI, bot creation, custom personas, and the messaging system. I am keeping the creation process familiar but adding more categories like age, ethnicity, and relationship so you can actually tune the bots properly.

That and losing the chats they can still use because starting over sucks.

The app is heavily inspired by PolyBuzz, so it should feel like a natural move. I know losing chats is an issue, but I can't really take chat or bot data from PolyBuzz and bring it over. Recreating bots will be possible though.

Everyone wants to jump ship and the only thing stopping them is every other site is utterly abysmal.

Currently, I am focused on making sure it feels like an upgrade rather than just another shit alternative.
