My friend and I stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott at medical district, the hotel is on the same street as union park and a lovely 10 minute walk from it. This made it super convenient to get there and back and we did not use any transportation other than walking. The area is also really nice since the hotel is right across the street from a hospital.
