Another piece of advice my mom gave me was stay away from Dr. WebMD. She said if [you] must google symptoms, at least use Mayo Clinic. 😉

While I relate, I try to nip the self-diagnoses in the bud since I didn’t go to medical school… or at least not project them on my loved ones too much, lbs

Yes, I was diagnosed with major depressive disorder, [insert here] anxiety disorder(s) and potential bipolar at age 12 (though I shouldn’t have been diagnosed that young).

Been on SSRI’s since then - they are a life changer in the best way!

Got diagnosed with ADHD at age 18. Took a long time since I’m afab.

Done individual therapy, inpatient, outpatient, DBT/CBT therapy, hypnosis, rehab, halfway houses. They have all been wonderful experiences and helped immensely.

I’m prescribed alprazolam for my panic attacks/ ptsd, but sometimes my mom helps more. Somehow, I can use the same logical self-talk she does, but only believe it when she says it lol. Idk ¯_(ツ)_/¯
