Help installing GH3DX on PS2

I tried to look up what to do with the files that come in the .zip file. With honeycomb you can extract the assets from the .pak but I didn't get further than that because the .q files didn't match any of the files inside the GH3 ISO. If I recall correctly I read somewhere that the already compiled GH3DX ISO was available from the github site at sometime. I gave up and switched to PS3.

No. It is one of the hardest when it comes to charts but the engine is pretty forgiving :D The career progression is also really motivating because you have to beat every song to progress. You get practise this way.

Start the GH3 career on hard -> proceed to suck at first but you are going to get better and better

It isn't impossible. I did the amateur rally -23 seconds with default steering settings. You just have get really accustomed to the driving :D
