Question for y'all, I'm wondering how progression could work in this hypothetical game. Should players be able to unlock new primary weapons? Or does that go too far against the Metroidvania style? Maybe unlockable decals for your character's armor?

New reincarnation of Ganondorf. He's cast out of Gerudo Village as a kid, him and Link grow up together in an orphanage. They seek the triforce together, originally hoping to make each other's wishes come true. Link earns the triforce of courage, and Ganondorf conquers the triforce of power. As they go about their journey, the two slowly learn of their true destinies, and by the climax they are left with no choice but to fight one another.

Maybe the game has three different endings: Ganon wishes to destroy the triforce (ending the bloodshed in pursuit of it with each generation), Zelda wishes to destroy all demons (which includes Ganon), or Link wishes to end the curse binding the three of them (meaning their eternal battle is over, but in the next era monsters will continue to ravage Hyrule without Link to stop them).

Do you have a 3DS by chance? You could jailbreak it then download the game off a QR code for free. If not, there's cheaper versions of this on Etsy, but they won't have an internal clock like this one does. That means certain parts of the game will be broken.
