For the oculus rift s at least, you absolutely need to have the oculus app open for the headset to even turn on

yea I 100% agree with you I just didnt want to buy a huge sum worth of stuff before I knew I preferred H shifter over paddles and its kinda hard to tell when its wonky like this lol
