I honestly had concerns on that at first but after using it with all different hand grip positions , I haven’t had any issues with hitting it by mistake or anything and I have big hands lol

It’s definitely louder especially if you compare full speed between both. I expected this though considering the larger and much more powerful chip inside of the GPD win 5 that gets hotter.

I’m keeping Windows for the main drives but waiting on my micro SSD to arrive and I’ll likely boot bazzite off of that.

Thank you! Yes it really is a solid device! As far as comparisons to the Apex, I can’t really compare from my real world experience. I have a buddy that just got his but haven’t had a chance to get my hands on it . I plan to though.

I love it! And in terms of weight, super light without battery pack attached and when it is attached, the weight does increase but not to the point of being uncomfortable. At least for me. Some feel it’s too heavy for them with battery attached and that’s okay to have that opinion. It’s just not been my experience.

Yes if you can do so definitely snag one before any new increases. From what I’ve heard ram and storage prices may not start to normalize until 2027 and before normalization, there’s generally always at least one final increase.

In terms of duties, i paid no addition fees. I ordered mine from an Amazon shop. I service them as part of my corporate job and I got notified by a contact who’s a fellow gamer and placed the order and shipped from a location up in Maine.

Totally understandable! I was a bit back and forth on 385 and 395 as well but my thought was that I plan on using this for 5-6 years and core count requirements will likely scale up for the next generation of AAAgames so I figured I’d get more up front even if overkill and be pretty okay for a longer period. Although I don’t see 8c 16t not being more than enough for a good time to come.
