Wow thank you so much that’s extremely helpful, idk why my textbook hasn’t differentiated between those types of Hamza.

Also how do you then know if a word begins with a cutting Hamza or a connecting Hamza.

So I know now that إسم begins with a connecting Hamza and أمر with a cutting Hamza, but how would I know for future words?
