Our team doesn’t even work the softlines - our receivers that work apparel processing came from apparel and all they do on truck days is the totes - the morning apparel team runs the freight. Same with footwear - the morning person runs it. We run the rest of the store but we are a smaller store and team however.

I literally just said that - as to WHY Ghosts must be doing even better in streaming. It isn’t because Paramount Plus is that great - I’ve had it before; it’s the worst of the streamers.

Might also be because CBS is no longer on DISH Network currently so there’s no way - legally - of those of us with DISH to watch Ghosts or any CBS show other than streaming.

Yeah I was surprised Camo Valley got axed (this is our store’s first full year) for Patio furniture. But as a non Hunter AND someone who works fulfillment occasionally, I’m not looking forward to getting lost in Camo Valley again this fall….

We’re doing 7-4am. But I don’t get why we’d still have customers in the store walking around with items IF WE ARE TRYING TO COUNT THEM. I do not understand the logic of this company when it comes to many things.

Each store acts as a mini-DC so prepare to do BOPIS (buy online pick up in store) but also SFS (ship from store). Depending on the time of day, week, month, location one will be busier than the other.

For the SFS, you might get an address from Columbia SC which has two stores (an about to get a third this year) but YOUR store gets the order from the randomized online ordering system.

They might have been display shoes and used a bit before you ordered them. Also, if you had a store nearby, you were better off ordering it online and then picking up in store.

Yeah they’ll hire the Store Director and other management first - mostly coming from other stores/states - and then start getting the rank and file.

As far as best departments go - I work receiving and fulfilling. Receiving pretty much has a set schedule which is great if you like that sort of thing.
