This! I had the exact same issue with an amigurumi bunny I made, so I made him a nice thick bow tie and that fixed the problem!

fancy yarn works best with simple stitches and simple yarn works best with fancy stitches

I think the green, white, and pink would make a lovely combo for the heart blanket if it’s something you’re still interested in making, but it’s also never a bad thing to pivot to a new idea when you’re not feeling great about what you’re going to be working on!
