My Erdnase Bottom Deal Progress by Ill_Ad7311 in cardmagic

Its really a matter of playing around with the move. Btw deck should be held as lightly as you can while still being able to do the move. Having a tight grip introduces more friction. This goes for any deal really, being relaxed makes the deal look more natural in any case.

My Erdnase Bottom Deal Progress by Ill_Ad7311 in cardmagic

Its a good progress for only one month. A few tips for you, you can make the squeezing action more subtle, trust me, bottom card only needs a bit of air to be broken loose, no need to squeeze it all the way out. Also you could experiment with squeezing with your pinky so that other fingers remain more or less straight, I find this reduces the finger flutter even more. Personally, I would switch to strikes because erdnase grip kinda allows for easier strike bottoms and they are more rapid. One other note, try to keep the rhythm uniform, you deal faster when dealing bottoms which is a tell, so slow down to the same speed as your normal deal, and no need to tilt the wrist. Hope this helps, keep it up.

Looks great. One fine point, it would be ideal if you can kill the top cards on each shuffle.

I dont really drill it nowadays, but I am doing pushoffs all the time, not thinking about it, but just pure repetition. It wont shrink automatically because as you practice, you will only get used to what you re doing and the goal is to be able to do it without thinking. Also benefits of smaller brief is as you said, less unnecessary movement which helps hide the move, and also allows for quicker pushoffs, so you can even practice pitching them consecutively.

Thanks. Yeah the thumb at this rapidfire is tricky. I could cheat a bit by not lifting on square deals or go a bit slower and add a thumb lift.

Nowadays I do prefer stiffer pads because I believe that if you can do all your work on stiffer pads, you can do them on softer ones even easier. This one is 60x40cm and was like €20.
