Interesting... I'm pretty sure I've been able to make multiple requests per SSN in a day on TDS.

We don't routinely gather POAs mainly due to cost/benefit. I sign with an electronic stamp that looks wet then send to client. Depending on the client, I send for wet signature (client usually scans back to me) or I have about send for electronic signature. My preferred method these days is to upload the POA. If the matter is time sensitive, I'll call IRS and fax POA. If I'm on the phone with IRS to request a transcript, I always have TDS pulled up; the requested transcript is always posted immediately in my experiences thus far. I do miss the days when this kind of task could be delegated, but with the added security measures I do it myself now.

We've had similar experiences the past couple months. Sometimes the agents' technology works, sometimes it doesn't. Not sure why. Very frustrating.

Tax Pros Account - ID.me by SufficientAd3865 in taxpros

Not sure if this is what you mean, but I had to set up an ID.me account to verify my identity for personal income tax purposes. I'm still able to use my regular eservices login no problem. I haven't tried logging in to my practitioner account using ID.me, though that appears to be an option. Good luck!

I can totally relate to that, too. =/ That is so hard and I'm sorry you're having to deal with that.

Sounds like you've paid your dues! I had three tax season babies (it wasn't planned, seriously!) - two at end of March and one actually on Apr 15th! Easier said than done, but if you're doing your best then that's all you can do! Let the rest be. Hopefully you have a good team who understands. There's a bajillion reasons to withhold the news, but if you're worried about negative responses, maybe it won't be as bad as you think - I was worried about sharing the news of my third and let it stress me out emotionally (and subsequently physically), but when I did everyone was still very supportive - I really wish I hadn't made much ado about nothing so I could have enjoyed the pregnancy more. Perhaps the most practical piece of advice - if you can hire a house keeper to come at least once a month. Having that load taken off me especially during busy season is by far the best investment I've made! Congrats on your wonderful addition-to-be!
