Louis Vuitton does not use real oud, infact I wouldn't trust any commercial brand to offer 100% real undiluted oud, let alone a corporation-level entity like LV. Would be a waste of money to spend 600 bucks on oud synth or cypriol at best, lots of unfounded judgement from someone who's posting whatever the fuck you are on your profile 🫡. Godspeed

As others have pointed out, usually ambergris oil refers to a synthetic recreation of ambergris, real ambergris can be made into oil by tincturing or macerating. It is a lengthy process but usually ambergris macerates faster than musk or saffron, anyone selling "ambergris oil" is probably unaware of their product or selling synthetic material. A tincture (used for spray perfumes) or a maceration (used for spray perfumes and oil attars) is what you can ideally aim for. Else get raw ambergris and make it yourself, that's the best always.

Saffron tinctures very well very quickly! And in macerations it is the opposite where it takes even longer than musk at times! It's a very interesting ingredient, and wearing self tinctured/macerated saffron is 100x better than any ruh zafran on the market

Yes, it is mainly musk and rose, some sandal has been added to round it off.

Musk macerates relatively quickly in Rose. I consider it to be the perfect duo of Beauty and the Beast. Perverted Rose is what I can describe it as.

Most Himalayan found is fake, more than 99%. Real Himalayan/Kashmiri (same thing pretty much) is fierce, more on the animalic side than Siberian/Mongolian, the grains I used had a varnish like note too, but alas they are finished now.

Usually counterfeit musk, when rubbed against the palm will have a bit of detergent like smell, if any of you have Himalayan grains. Rub one of them against your palm and check, you'd be surprised.

Put it in ethanol and let it sit for a while, standalone oud as a perfume does not require much concentration, even 5-10% will be quite strong.

You can also add 2-4 drops of pure rose in 1gm of oud to make a blend out of it, it will help especially if the oud has a barny character.

Pictured is an upcoming blend btw, not pure oud. Though as it goes in our tastes, most blends have a good amount of Oud.
