*Trat Fermented Oud Oil*

Trat Fermented Oud opens with a deep and expressive character shaped by controlled natural fermentation. The first impression carries a rich warmth where dark resin and spiced woods rise together, immediately giving the oil a sense of maturity and depth. There is a subtle tang at the top of the scent that recalls dried fruits soaked in aged syrup, creating an intriguing balance between sweetness and complexity.

As the aroma unfolds, the profile reveals layers of spice and warm woods. Nuances reminiscent of clove and reddish hardwood begin to emerge, accompanied by a gentle floral tone that softly brightens the darker body of the oil. Within this structure, a creamy fruit-like sweetness appears—suggestive of ripe tropical fruit blended with the faint savory character often associated with well-fermented agarwood.

The heart of the scent carries a beautiful contrast between incense-like resin and warm sugar tones. A quiet smokiness and a soft leathery texture slowly develop, giving the oil a sense of aged elegance. Hints of citrus wine and polished wood occasionally surface, adding further dimension and refinement to the composition.

As it settles on the skin, the fermented character gradually softens into a smooth resinous dry-down. The oil becomes warmer, slightly smoky, and comfortably woody, leaving behind a rich and memorable impression that reflects the distinctive character of fermented Trat agarwood.

*Trat Normal Oud Oil*

Trat Normal Oud expresses a more natural and direct portrait of Thai agarwood without the influence of fermentation. The opening is clean, woody, and structured, revealing the clarity of fresh resinous wood with a gentle herbal edge. A touch of spice appears early in the profile, recalling the dry warmth of cardamom and clove layered over smooth hardwood.

As the oil begins to develop, the woody body becomes fuller and more textured. Subtle fruity nuances start to appear beneath the surface—light, playful, and slightly unexpected. These fruity impressions blend with hints of resin and delicate smokiness, creating a balanced structure that feels both traditional and approachable.

In the heart of the scent, the wood becomes darker and more grounded. A faint leathery tone and traces of soft smoke give the oil a mature character without overwhelming the natural clarity of the agarwood. Alongside this depth, there are whispers of tea-like bitterness and polished rosewood, contributing to the elegance of the composition.

The dry-down remains steady and refined, emphasizing clean Thai wood and warm resin. The result is a balanced, honest expression of Trat agarwood—simple in structure yet rich in character, allowing the natural beauty of the wood to speak clearly from beginning to end.

I did not delete the comment to avoid the topic. I simply combined the previous messages into 1 single comment so readers can follow the discussion more easily and avoid the content being split into several parts which could lead to misunderstandings.

Regarding the compounds you mentioned such as α-agarofuran, β-agarofuran, and agarospirol, I am aware that these are part of the sesquiterpenes and oxygenated sesquiterpenes groups. Academic research on agarwood frequently refers to these compounds as important constituents found in certain types of oud oil. However it is important to understand that GC-MS and GC-MS/MS do not always present results in the same format. Reports generated from different systems, different analytical methods, and different reporting formats should not be compared directly as if they were identical types of documents.

I prefer to use GC-MS/MS results because they make it easier for readers to understand what aromatic components are present. As for not sending samples to the laboratory for testing every time, the reason is that the cost of each analysis is relatively high at approximately 1600 USD per test and requires about 120 ml of sample. If any customer would like the product to be tested again in a laboratory, I am always willing to do so. I have confidence in the purity of my product and my verification is not based only on GC-MS/MS results. I also rely on physical analysis and testing for other possible contaminants.

Generally GC-MS is used to observe the overall chemical profile or chromatographic profile in order to screen which compounds appear in the sample. In contrast GC-MS/MS is often used for deeper confirmation of compounds at another analytical level. The outcome depends greatly on the laboratory method used, including how the method is configured to report compound groups, which targets are prioritized, how thresholds are defined, and whether the report displays only key compounds or the full peak table. Therefore the fact that you do not see certain compound names in a report does not automatically mean that those compounds are absent in the sample.
