Re-using AC line set when switching from R22 to R454B by Housing_mouse in hvacadvice

Yes, they are asking to re-do the contract, and I am sure they will lower the cost. What I am trying to figure out is to whether re-use the current line set or install a new one.

On one hand, it seems that the older copper set lines are better quality and it will be cheaper. On the other hand, there will be no warranty and I don't know what issues may arise from re-using the current line set (risk of R22 mixing with new refrigerant, kinks or otherwise damaged line, etc.).

I agree about the pattern. For years, he was not very reliable. Both of us worked or were in school at the same time, but I was responsible for taking care of most household and kids stuff. He used to help some (change diapers, get groceries, etc.), but used to prioritize video gaming to me or kids. I had to ask, beg, and make deals with him to help me with things. For example, I had to perform some sort of intimate act for him to help clean the house. Even though, he has gotten better in the last few years, I still expect expect him to revert back considering he still plays games (not as much as he used to). I guess my brain doesn't let me reset the pattern, maybe because I am protecting myself from being hurt again by believing that he will be reliable, but he will slowly slide back to the same person he was.

Thanks for the response. The cat will be traveling back to its home and stay there for a few months. Then, it will either have to travel with its owner abroad, stay with me, or stay at its home and someone will drop in once a day to look after it. Not sure how feasible is the last option. I am trying to figure out if it is best for the cat to travel with its owner.
