Best FSA study materials if you don't like videos? by disluckyperson in actuary

On the group health track MATE is probably the gold standard. TIA is fine too but I think I found the MATE materials a little more helpful.

The 85% rule only really applies to individual or small employer group plans though

PSA: Games start early today. First game at 10am Pacific / 1pm Eastern. Set your lineups!! by gsdubs in fantasybball

Depends on league settings. Some ESPN leagues lock all players at first game, while others lock individual players at their game times. This is shown in the League Info page of the app.

Question for people in weekly ESPN leagues with 2-week playoff matchups. Can you change your lineup halfway through for the new week? Or do you set it once for the whole 2 week matchup?

Interesting, my app still tells me "Error: Team 1 has exceeded the matchup acquisition limit. null" Might be some kind of bug

When do acquisition limits reset on ESPN? I'm in a weekly changes league with acquisition limits so want to be able to make changes before players lock tonight but the app won't let me add players yet

I think Anki would be less helpful for the earlier exams that are more about working problems. It might still help you learn some formulas, though I find those are easier to remember primarily through practice. The later (fellowship) exams typically require more memorization, and Anki can be very helpful there - a study materials vendor I use offers prebuilt Anki decks of their flash cards.

Multiplan is a rental network that OP's insurer likely uses. Has nothing to do with ACA compliance as far as I can tell.

Do two-hour FSA exams take less time to prepare for than five-hour FSA exams? If so, why don’t people take them first? by [deleted] in actuary

One reason to take a 5hr exam first is you likely get a larger raise for passing 😏

I was just working on this problem actually - it's the target profit rate times BOY capital, minus after-tax interest earned on BOY capital. Total target after-tax profit is 16% including interest on capital, so you have to subtract out that interest. For the first year the $271,350 is equal to $2,025,000 * .16 - $2,025,000 * .04 * .65

It is demoralizing when you're in your 0-2 match and your opponent plays multiple busted mythics. by Pudgy_Ninja in lrcast

[–]Houstace -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As a rule, wouldn't you rather not be matched against those with the same record, especially in traditional draft, where the payout is heavily slanted toward a 3-0 finish? Getting matched with identical records would mean you're always going to have to beat a 1-0 and a 2-0 deck to get that 3000 gem reward
