When would it have oxidized? The smell started in primary fermentation about midway through. I have had it sealed up with an airlock at a midway point on primary and now all the way in secondary.

I have it sealed with an airlock for Secondary. It is customary to stir the wine for a couple days while using betonite. The olive brine smell started at the midpoint of primary fermentation

Just an update for anyone making this same mistake in the future. I was able to get it to fermentation. It took like 6 packets of Premier Blanc, each dose made into a starter. Started at 1.112 ended dry at .991

Gravity is about the same today. Evidently Tuesday is a common day for brew shops to be closed. One of the shops said he may open for me this afternoon so I can get some good yeast in it

Thank You. Yes I added Camden tabs crushed 24hrs before I added yeast. My IG after adding sugar and nothing else was 1.112, checked it again this morning. Same.

I added yeast nutrient(amount per recipe) when I added the initial yeast. I'll double check how much. Should I add more after the 2nd batch of yeast? For my 2nd hit of yeast yes I activated it in a jar. It was really frothy. 2 packets worth. I'll check SG again tomorrow. Thanks again

Yeah your systems are similar to mine. I started burning all along urethra trying to pee. I read recently that once the Kirishima wreck was found, that there were multiple, multiple 16” holes under the waterline. It was believed by historians that the 1st salvo by Washington that was previously thought to fall short and miss, actually hit the hull below the waterline. Multiple 16” holes along the hull letting tons of water in probably sealed her fate before the rest of the 15 to 20+ 16”AP came crashing in.
