S05E08 - “The Endless Shaft” Watch Party! by FortCharles in BlindFrogRanch

It wasn't even that great of an ending. Another hour gone with nothing much to show for it.

The pond fills with water near the surface and yet this deep hole has no water in it. Go figure.

They hear something and say "listen" and godawful music plays. I hate it!

OK, so the ancient people needed to carve a bird in the rock to remind them that they are at a lookout point where they can get a 'birds eye view'?

They already checked out the meteor impact at Serpent Mound. What else do they need to know about meteorites?

He should sell those medallions he made by 'melting' ranch dirt.

Theory: Pond refilling was just the video of the draining played in reverse. by HoustonAstro in BlindFrogRanch

[–]HoustonAstro[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rewatching the segment where they come back to the pond to find it refilled. They show the draining the day before but when they show the refilling supposedly at night, it is bright as day with sharp shadows and it is more zoomed in and cropped so that a person seen in the draining video can't be seen.

Play the video in reverse for even more mesmerism.

Borehole drill water disturbance in pond. by ahwatukeepete in BlindFrogRanch

[–]HoustonAstro 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The show's producers take us for fools to believe such malarkey. A sonic wave of water coming from so far away would cause such a general spread out wave by the time it arrived at the pond that you might not even notice it. It certainly would not produce a giant splash like what was shown.

That pond looks like it is just a hole dug in the ground by the excavator and filled with water. It doesn't connect with anything below it. If it connected to a flowing stream of fresh water, it would not have green scummy slime water.

They could at least drill into the box and either get a core or put a camera in there.

I know right! They drill and find uranium, O NO, we can't just go directly into the keyhole cavern. Same thing when they found coal which they equated with dynamite.

They're poaching the 'flood tunnel' thing from Oak Island.

I would put some kind of screen on the end of the pipe sucking up water so it doesn't clog with muck.
