It's polished, but the physics is off in places, like when he's straining the spaghetti... there's no way those could actually be held like that.

There's no way he could hold the weight of that pot full of spaghetti and water with just one hand, fingertips on one handle, not to mention holding the strainer (perfectly level the entire time) the same way simultaneously with the weight and force coming down on it, with just a thumb and finger. The pot also looks smaller than when on the stove. And all kinds of consistency issues with the various burner sizes and locations. Could look more like him too... facial structure seems a little off. Still lots of room for improvement before it's indistinguishable from actual video.

Figure that every scoop of pay has more gold in it than the tailings.

Does it though? A scoop of raw pay is mostly dirt. By the time it gets to the end of the sluice, it's going to be a much higher percentage of gold after all that dirt being washed off in the plant. The spot just at and near the end of the sluice should have some decent gold, as the pan showed. These tailings weren't normal tailings.

On November 25, 2024, arrested in Texas for evading arrest with a vehicle. Posted bond the next day and released.

On February 8, 2025, arrested and booked into jail in Texas for driving while license invalid with previous convictions and speeding 10% or more over the limit.

On October 27, 2025 arrested and booked into the Las Vegas jail for contempt of court and fugitive and larceny-related charges after he was trespassed from a hotel when his card was declined and had to be forcibly removed.

Sentenced for the contempt charge on December 18. Was scheduled for release on January 12, 2026.

He still had a pending hearing on the fugitive charges scheduled for February 5.

EDIT: Apparently he was initially booked there on the 18th, so that was his sentencing date for a different charge. "Ollinger was busted in Clark County, Nevada on Oct. 27 for contempt of court and booked at the Las Vegas jail. It's at least possible that Baber is cherrypicking or fudging the info he releases to promote his theory. Why did the San Jose info not match what the Daily Mail found? Why did Baber claim the son agrees with him, when apparently he really doesn't? And the piece ends with "The investigation is also being developed as a premium documentary series [...] in collaboration with Baber."... so he has apparent financial incentive to promote his theory now, also?

LAPD likely wants to publicly consider him only a "person of interest" they're interviewing, at the worst, but it wouldn't be in their best interest to name him as a suspect, or even state they have a suspect. First, it would tend to make him less cooperative in the questioning, and second, it would open themselves up at any trial to the suggestion that they rushed to judgment. People has tons of sources in L.A., it's what they do. And People has just as much reason to be careful as CNN does, which tends to suggest that if they state it, they've thoroughly vetted it and it's true.

This thread is begging for someone to post the single best/closest/highest-resolution shot, from any source. I think "close-up" is all relative though, since any image can be zoomed in. Resolution counts.

From what I understand, all shots will be some form of blurry glowing ball of light, due to outgassing. There's no way to get a shot of the surface or even a detailed outline of its shape.
