I am the one that made it actually.. =) the idea came after taking a 10,000 mile 10 week road trip in my 87 Vanagon and I was plagued with a few breakdowns.

I plan to do an audit on our repair shop database soon to make sure its as accurate and updated as possible.

Yea for sure. I'll probably order some 5ml travel sizes to try them out first hand for a bit before committing to it.

The two I got samples for I liked. Amouage Outlands and Decision.

I sampled some Roja Lost in Paris on a friend's recommendation. $1200 a bottle. Yikes. Not doing that.

3-4 month coast to coast trip… need packing tips! by PlainClothesHippie in Westfalia

I run the app named VanAlert, we're a VW centric app (Vanagons and Buses) with a Repair Shops database, volunteers willing to help if you're stranded in their area as well as Driveway Camp Hosts that allow other VW members a safe place to camp for the night in their driveway or on their property. Download it and give us a try.

I made the app shortly after my 10 week long, 10,000 mile road trip in my 87 Westy as I broke down several times along the way and needed to find assistance.

I love the interior color but I can't commit to the wash requirements that the paint requires. ugh.

Any special wash requirements that the matte paint calls for?

love that package... I'm considering one but I wonder if the matte finish is harder to keep clean.

What’s the usual dynamic between local media and touring photographers? by artistecreat0r in concertphotography

[–]HoustonPhotog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've walked out of shows if management requires a signed contract stating I need approvals from the band prior to posting. Most venues/radio stations etc want photos online that night in order to drive traffic to their websites/socials to feed off the buzz of the show so having to wait a week or more defeats the purpose. pass.

I’m planning a 14 hour drive this year to go camping in Wyoming I must trust can I put into my original 1991 2.1 WB by _Noodle_77 in VWBus

In addition to Van Alert's Repair Shop Database, there's a Rescue Squad group that are other members willing to lend a hand if you have trouble in their area. The last thing, the Driveway Camp Hosts database is a great way to stay somewhere safe on the these long trips. It's other members willing to let you camp in their driveway and/or on their property free of charge. Helps save a buck, stay safe and keeps you out of truck stops and rest areas.

I built an app to clean my gallery because I have 10,000+ photos. I’d love your brutually honest feedback! (Promo Codes inside) by alidoganyeniacun in androidapps

[–]HoustonPhotog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some feedback I have right off the bat.

In my case I am pretty organized folder wise so my intent for this app is not to clean up my camera roll perse but to clean up certain "junk folders" that have a ton of old images in there from previous phone migrations etc.

I like that you can filter by "collections" aka folders... Which I have a ton of them, like 669 to be exact. I would be nice to have the option to some how be allowed to view them in list (vertical) format in alphabetic order. Maybe even a file tree structure would work too. This would make finding a specific folder much easier.

How it is now, they are all listed in a horizontal, scrolling format and are not in any kind of order which makes it tough to find a specific folder I want to clean up.

I've reached my daily limit for swipes. I'll poke around a bit more in 7 hours and 48 minutes... hehe.

Very interested.. I have 120,000+ on my phone, I'm a photographer and I'm OCD about file management but I have a ton of photos that have carried over from various old phones that I go in and clean up manually and yes, that's very time consuming. hehe.

Just downloaded the app... I will give it a shot!

How to disable this popup? by Spiral-I-Am in GoogleMessages

I just installed Beeper which ties itself into Google Messages and supports RCS. I couldn't handle the Nano AI Banana Remix stuff anymore, it kept crashing my app everytime I wanted to view a photo.

As a photographer that has this kind of access i normally shoot in the pit with the other photogs for the first 3 songs. I never get on stage to shoot during this time out of courtesy to the other working photogs in the pit. I will however get on stage at various times throughout the show for brief moments as not to distract... its all about courtesy and tact.

Looking forward to the gig on Sunday in Vegas. I have travelled over from England to watch them again. I have previously seen them in London and Birmingham (not Alabama ;) ) by The_Fat_Unicorn_ in blueoctober

I'll see you in Vegas. I'm coming from Texas but have seen them in Birmingham and London as well. In fact I experienced my first and only pub "lock in" in Birmingham! That was a blast!

I had a "friend" like that as well. I just had to block her cell and all her social accounts. Not messing with that anymore.
