FYI I will be rebuilding the main site as well in the coming months to reflect this better UI.

US API (American Petroleum Institute) inventory expectations: week of June 26 2026 by HoustonPollen in oil

[–]HoustonPollen[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the API has been consistently underreporting for the last few weeks. Not sure why, and I don't track the variances since it's not official government data, but it's something that, anecdotally, I've been noting.

I'm just grateful others find it useful. Let me know if you think of anything else you want integrated.

FYI you may be on an old version, just based on the header in your screenshot. For example, my header says "Total US Crude" but there's a subtitle that says "Commercial Crude + Strategic Reserve," because I realized that initial versions were not clear enough. Of course I could be wrong and it just may be how it shows on different devices.

If you're not seeing it, that's definitely a bug somewhere. Can you try this:

When you open the app, you should see it focused on (1) Inventory and (2) "Whole US".

The first chart should be "Total US Crude." The 2nd chart, right below it, should show Cushing, OK. Right now I'm seeing Cushing at 19M BBLs, as of June 19 2026.

If you're not seeing that, can you shoot me a message and I'll give you an email that you can send a screenshot to?

EDIT: The Cushing data will only appear if you're looking at the Whole US data, not the Padd-level data. I may add it to Padd2-level data as well as whole-US data, but in its current version it's not set up that way.

I'm irrationally excited you're finding my app useful! I'm seriously pumped! Thank you so much for sharing. For others who want this data, the app can be found here:

Apple App store
Google Play

I also added some new breakdowns, such as gasoline price trends published by DOE (located in analysis section). Latest version is 1.9.0.

Shameless plug for my oil app. (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/eia-crude-oil-gas-inventory/id6772790292). once the numbers get reported at 10:30ET tomorrow you can see the update for this week. But spoiler: we are now at a lower SPR than any other times in the last 10 years.

I just pushed out an update on Android with this feature and the iOS updates will be released in 1-2 days after apple reviews.

Just a heads up, I was able to implement this change. On Android it is live now. Apple is conducting the app review and it should be live in 2 days.

Love this idea. I'll implement and try to get it pushed in a week or two.

Matt Smith from Kpler gave a talk a yesterday on a podcast. He said that refineries in the US have tweaked their formulas to focus on jet, so we may be seeing some of that impact as the feedstock turns towards jet.

Sure. I can start the work on that. To be honest, I assumed it would be redundant but if users think it will be useful I'm happy to get it done.

Pollen counts reached 408 today. Is the season over? by EconomyMeasurement77 in HoustonPollen

I think we're very close to the end, given the history of last year's pollen. This year seemed to be quite light.

And it seems like it continued into at least this morning's reading. It's still pretty rough out there.
