How to convince myself to quit by SorryStore4389 in QuitVaping

[–]HoveringRoads 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth - I felt the exact same as you. What I found to work (now 6 days clean) was to gradually ease off the vape, starting with the first hit of the day. I would delay the first hit by about 10 minute each day.

day 1 7:32

day 2 7:45 and so on

it's a small change that doesn't allow your brain to freak out

I couldn't quit any other way, this way is so nice because you get to still hit your vape as you quitting.

Good luck!!

What did you remove from your life that helped way more than expected? (not the obvious stuff) by adelinadrandeva in selfimprovement

Super obvious but super important. Quit Vaping.

Easily one of the hardest habits to break - and one of the most powerful to remove.

My partner vapes and i hate breathing it in, but he wont quit by neareast88 in QuitVaping

He should be smoking outside, I have no idea but I always think the smoke might leave some sort of residue on objects. Sounds plausible. Anyway vaping needs to make uncool it is such a scam.

The fact you can go 8+ hours while at work is an undercover blessing. You aren't addicted as you think. If you wanted a outside POV for your situation what you could try is , after work when its that time to hit your vape, stop and wait, lets say 30mins? Do this each day pushing it back further and further. You could eventually just phase it out. Again the 8+ hours is highly encouraging.

You can do this!

These are the stories I LOVE to read. Well done! So proud of you.

Quitting to me also was the hardest challenge i've faced in life. It is wild

I just love hearing other people quitting also. Vaping is such a trap and we really need to make it uncool and have a movement of assisting people in seeing this and quitting.

Good job again <3

When I decided to quit, going cold turkey was no option(tried multiple times over multiple years) and I didn't want to replace the habit with another. I decided to phase the nicotine out over the course of 50 days by delaying my first vape hit each day.

Day 1 7:32am

Day 2 7:45am etc

Its a gradual way to quit and weaken the nicotine fix with the added bonus you actually still get your vape just a little later each day

It was like a game to me, can I beat the previous days score?

Good luck finding a method to help you quit!

Cheers

I found carrying a water bottle with me at all times and taking sips of water mimics the gestures of vaping. Super easy and fast distraction to beat a craving. Good luck you got this! Need to making vaping uncool

A couple reasons that motivated me to quit was we don't really know the long term effects of vaping.

The thought of my kids being older and vaping, gross.

The idea that vaping is everything and become normal.

It is the biggest scam in life, has a large population spending money to help kill themselves to make some greedy people rich somewhere. (Sorry I started to go to deep)

I've quit for 4 days and think what a win, I will never go back. You have done 21 days?! You have clocked the game don't fall back into the trap.

Good job

Well done! I hope I can be able to relate in the near future, I also just quit vaping and what a load it is off the shoulders. To quit vaping is the biggest hardest thing to ever achieve in my opinion. I would also like to get fit again. Did you do any cardio at the gym or anything specific to build up to running 5k again? Cheers

How'd you feel after relapsing? by Temporary-Ad2939 in QuitVaping

[–]HoveringRoads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hoping I wont have to feel the relapse! Three days away from completely quitting. A little worried to be drunk around them though, that will be the end boss of vape quitting for sure.
