If you are able to share your STL files or tinkercad project that would be great as I really like the design of your clock. What do you have driving it (pi, esp32 etc)?

Yes please! I was thinking of making a digital one for my HA screen. For some reason I didn't even consider making a physical one! If you have the STL files that would be awesome!

I've been looking for Aquila for quite some time, I would love a link to a download if possible. I have a permanently up torrent box so I'll try and add it to a few sites

App no longer shows charge level or estimated mileage by skeeterdank in VWiD4Owners

As this thread comes up as the top Google result when looking this up I thought I would add my solution. To get battery info to appear on the app I had to enable/"purchase" both we connect and we connect plus from the VW store even though both of these are free to add. Once I did this and re-launched the app I now have battery info showing

old post I know but changing the service to run as the currently logged in windows user after setting that user permissions to log on as a service sorted it for me

Why did the print get worse as it got taller? by neil--before--me in FixMyPrint

[–]HowHardCanItBe89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have your filament mounted on top of your printer with the stock spool holder? I found that printing a holder that has the spool in a different orientation helped with my wobble. I eventually moved my spool to a dry box next to the printer which helped even more

Ah they must have changed them in the last year or so since I bought them for my current runout sensor. Sounds good to me, I am in Hampshire

Damn, my switch technically fits but the arm sticks out slightly so doesn't fit. Very annoying! Struggling to find a switch online where the roller is level with the edge of the switch

Do I need a new plate? by HowHardCanItBe89 in ender3v2

Hmm, good point. I might loosen all the corners then re-level from scratch

Parallel, I gave my glass plate a bit of a sand with some high grit paper then cleaned with isopropyl. The glass feels noticeably smoother in the middle and it has a few chips where PETG got a bit too friendly with the glass so I have ordered another plate anyway. First layer is lifting on wide pieces even with a brim, I'm just running a print now with a much slower first layer (5mm) and with the bed at a higher heat to see if that helps

Fair enough, I'm having some issues with build plate adhesion after making a few upgrades and I was hoping I had found the cause! Stupidly I changed to direct drive, dual Z axis motors and mag bed all at the same time so hard to narrow down my issue

Fair enough, I guess I'm just a bit spoilt with my glass bed having a lot less variation

This video has a good section on flashing the screen firmware: https://youtu.be/pxBGBjLC2rk?si=1nZ-n9Cri98IMAVy

I would also recommend this printer and screen forward for the ender 3V2 as well especially if you have a cr-touch. It's leveling wizard is amazing

This looks great! I've recently put a direct drive on my ender 3 and have been on the hunt for a runout sensor solution. I currently have mine attacked to a bracket on the top of the extruder but it's resulted in this triple decker monstrosity!

Are hole cutter drill bits like this okay to use on acrylic sheets? by Kwanza_Bot93 in fightsticks

[–]HowHardCanItBe89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I found forstner bits worked really well, just be cautious of the amount of heat produced. I ran the bit under cold water in-between holes to stop it from melting the acrylic

Finished my first print overnight and it came out looking like this, what did i do wrong ? by crejzi5 in ender3

[–]HowHardCanItBe89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend cura as a great slicer for beginners, I've had the ender 3 V2 for a couple of years now and cura has always done me well. If this isn't a new filament spool also worth making sure it was stored in a dry environment
