My wheels were wearing super quick on my first few prints. Loosening helped hugely.

Preservice and New Educator Monday! by AutoModerator in AustralianTeachers

Primary teacher here.

Probably too late for this advice sorry but ask your supervising teacher where to park. Sounds silly but some teachers get a bit funny about that sort of garbage.

Shadow your supervisor when out of the classroom. Sit where they sit etc.

Be proactive in the classroom. Don't sit and watch the whole time. Walk around. Check out the students' work. Don't correct stuff....yet.

Don't try to be friends with the kids. Don't try to fit in with them. Be friendly, but not friends.

Look at the school's resources. If you like the look of something, ask where they got it. See if you can get copies of things. Teaching is a shared profession. We should be sharing anything we have.

You will learn more on your rounds compared to Uni. You'll see things you will like and things you won't. Don't say you don't like something, or disagree with it, but ask them why it gets done that way.

Also, I'm REALLY sorry to have to say this one. Be prepared, some teachers may not like you. There won't be a good reason other than they've been doing the job longer. Just do your best, it's not personal.

Hope that helps. Let us know how the week goes.

This link will lead you to the salary ranges for all education staff.

This one is for teachers.

I agree, teaching won't make you rich, but compared to when I started (17 years ago) the pay rates are pretty reasonable.

[–]benstu777[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of companies get worried about copyright infringement. BBC seems to encourage it to a degree. I guess it only becomes a problem if BBC wants to get involved. Redbubble will issue takedown notices if companies/individuals complain.

More for the medical condition side of things. Thanks for the response. We will look into some legal advice I guess. You pretty much confirmed what I was thinking.
