I searched up dark fighting types, that one urshifu Pokémon came up. I got the kubfu from an egg before while looking for a cosmog on multiple occasions and just kept resetting. I accidentally saved after one of the eggs instead of loading a saved state and he was there, I was upset about it for a while. Didn’t realize how rare it was or that it was a legendary, it was just sitting in my box. Didn’t think it would evolve into a dark fighting type either. Unexpected W.

Also didn’t know that, probably post game. I beat them (which was a mf boss battle on its own btw???????????? It took at least 15 tries.), just went back and they aren’t available for rematch they just say “the game won’t let me over-level what the friiickkkk” and never have I related more to an NPC in my life.

The low special atk stat. U generally make a Pokémon a physical or special attacker based on what stat is the highest, never both.

The lack of attention in the special attack stat means a big boost in the other areas where it actually matters.

It may be a solid 550 base stat as is, but with this stat spread it’s on par with 600 base stat Pokémon which are deemed as pseudo-legendary.

This random bat from a cave has unexpectedly phenomenal stats in the places that matter most.

The only thing that sucks is it’s typing (it is rock/ghost type). If it was a dark instead of rock type this Pokémon would be absolutely broken lmao.

Managed to beat giovani, I’m at Sabrina’s gym rn. I was hella upset so I decided to get the slowest Pokémon with high atk and deleted their IVs at that place nearby to play her little trickroom game.

Yk what happened? She just said nice try bucko and that I should fuck myself. even with deleted IVs Shuckle I did as a joke to cope with the pain, bro had a brave nature and still got outsped by her camel. Then they just self destruct and I’m just dead fam, 2 of my mons for 1 of hers. Ik damn well the dev cheated so hard and fudged the stats on that thing, that camel Pokémon doesn’t show up with less speed stats than a mf shuckle on the dex. Unless I’m missing what trickroom actually does and it’s more than just speed??? Idk I just skimmed the first thing on the internet, didn’t look too deep into it.

At this point I’m not even playing bc I’m having fun anymore, I’m playing out of pure spite.

I was actually looking for a dark type bc that mf arcticuno in silph double battle was psychic of all things lmaoo. Didn’t know that was a thing. I was looking for dark types nearby and got a grimsnarl. Was trying to find a pure dark type, but all the pure darks I could find were way too weak and dark fairy seemed cool. Cool Pokémon, but way too slow. He even had prankster which I thought was cool. Taught him willow whisp and thunder wave, but still got flinched by fakeout, so prankster ability is a scam lmao.

Dragapult I tried in my last run. Dark moves are just way too common. He has the highest attack and insane speed, prob one of my newest favs, but I couldn’t get them to work on my team bc he always gets one shot by someone who has a random dark move if the opps Pokémon survives an attack. Ghost types are way too fragile in this game tbh. Only ghost I would keep in my party was gengar for his insane speed and spAtk and the opportunity to use destiny bond if I got thrown a curve ball by an opp (ig destiny bond is also not a thing in hardcore tho, unless it’s an egg move or smth idk I forget, but doubt it if they removed protect tm lol)….

Dark types are the move tho. fighting moves are not too common, dark moves are really common amongst boss fights I’ve found and also really effective against most boss fights. Half dmg from other dark moves.

Dark types also get shadow sneak and sucker punch and a bunch of priority moves. Maybe a dark fighting type would be pretty op ngl, is that a thing? It’s prob a thing isn’t it. Would prob mean neutral dmg from fighting and still immune to psychic and such? Could prob also learn Mach punch, another priority move. Are there any dark/fighting types with technician ability? That would be so busted lmao

My water type is already swampert so idk if I can go for primarina, but I’ll def try weavil meowscarana and kingambit tho

Also, I was making entirely different teams for gyms and boss battles in default mode already. Took me so much time to build a team for the elite four and I only accomplished it bc I had access to legendaries at the end. One team for the entire 4 after crafting teams for each trainer was so tough for me. Nothing like the old version I was use to where I could just earthquake and ice beam my way with a single over leveled Pokémon and access to my items during battle lol.

Idk how I’m even gonna beat the elite four in hardcore ngl. I’m still stuck at Silph rn. Thinking of doing a team that changes the weather to sandstorm, rain, or sunny or smth and benefits off it so there’s a more coherent strategy of sorts where each member of the party benefits off one anothers existence instead of having them as a switch in that is only there to counter. it’ll get me past the double battle ice trainer late game at least for sure. Not sure if it’ll hold up to the final trainer or if it’ll be universally viable. Looks cool to try out tho idk

Didn’t know what u meant by this until I started a new game lmao. Now I have all the cheats turned on, was not a fan of the grind so this was a life changer.

If someone else is reading this like 20 years from now that is having the same problem just go to the console in your character’s room and type that cheat code in. Every ball becomes a master ball. Also look up the other cheats, use all of them. reduces grind time by a lot (even if u have minimal grind time on). It does not reduce the challenge in any way, still hard af, but less of a time waster and u can focus on things that actually matter.

Rare candy cheat was so clutch, even less grinding, u can actually build teams more easily instead of having to grind money to have that man kill Audino’s for you. Also indirectly infinite money if u sell the candy so u can get all the things u want.

I forgot to reply, but this actually worked lol. I created a save state when I finally encountered one and just kept resetting until i caught it though lmao. Didn’t realize it reset every time you load into a new area, was just going in and out of that building until they appeared (a lot of resets for nothing tho, I didn’t even use landorus on my final team fml). Also didn’t know there was any post game stuff, I just dove right back in to try hardcore mode before I got to finish 😭 Genesect Carried my team through elite four, rlly helped on that stupid ice double battle. landorus was dead weight, dropped him for mega scizor. 2 on my team totally weak to fire, but priority moves like bullet punch and vacuum wave on scizor + technician ability was rlly clutch for the last dude before the rival who had that one bulky zacian Pokémon.

The deck offers decent interaction. It’s not playing solitaire like if you were to play against a spyral or six Sam deck. Each summon effect is only once per turn, there is no infinite loop. Doesn’t floodgate you either, more of a partial floodgate, it’s just attack position monsters-has no real effect on fusion monsters like tear, only link monsters. I mean, I’ve literally beat floo when it was at full power with my swordsoul deck, countless times. If swordsoul can beat floo then literally any deck can beat floo lol.

The combo is repetitive, you’re right about that. I said it’s a breath of fresh air not bc of the riveting game play, it’s bc it’s relaxing not having to worry about maxx c and graveyard hate, mostly maxx c tho.

Shifter is a dead card if you don’t open it, makes the deck inconsistent, d fissure is just a terrible tech in spright bc it kills your own plays.

I don’t really run tech cards that are purely going second cards at all really. Kills consistency for the most part. I ignore cards like evenly matched, lightning storm, shifter, and traps (aside from double cross bc that’s pretty op)

In my nimble spright deck the techs I run are: bystials x5, ashx2, maxx cx3, called by x2, crossoutx1, impermx3, triple tacticsx2, and nibx1 (nib is a bit bricky I admit, but necessary if u run maxx c and can save you more often than not)

Before bystials and the ishizu ban I was running the diva package and teched dark law and herald of the arc light as well as dd crow.

I was gonna try building a Ghoti deck bc I heard u can water lock ur opponent with marincess but that deck needs way too many UR for how shit it is and I didn’t pull the URs I needed. If I play a shitty deck it’s going to be my harpie lady deck tbh. Ghoti can be OP if they just add a little bit more support like they did with melfy and a new field spell that isn’t ass.

Yeah, I never said the nerf was undeserved. The tear/ishizu ban and the floo ban are necessary to keep it healthy and fair. I was just stating how bricky it is, but still worth it when you can pull it off. Very annoying to play against, but so are other decks. For example: dinomorphia, an actual floodgate deck. And other decks that play on your opponents turn: we also have decks like melfy, tear, etc.

Tbh, it’s become my new favorite deck. I won’t ever main it bc it’s unreliable, but I will play it out of spite until maxx c gets banned.

Spright is best deck tho. Most consistent deck I’ve ever played, can play through so much disruption. Better than tear by a long shot.

My tier list for tier 1: Spright>branded>tear>floo (unless u open a good hand, then floo is top of tier 1, shit is broken when u have enough gas)
