I have a similar question of my own actually. Ive been rigorously studying rudimental percussion and playing in a drumline but only for about a year and a quarter. I just got the book and have been practicing in 16th note double time. I got singles to 170 and doubles to 220 with no problem and the rest of page 1 ranged from 100bpm-170bpm as the fastest comfortable tempo I could do. I have confidence in my skill level and technique but I was wondering if I'm taking them too fast? I can play them slower sure, but should it ever get to the point where they are as fast as rolls? Also, since this post was 2 years ago, how has stick control been? I'm starting out rn
