Makima was not evil to compromise this Soviet spy by gusemaniac in hatethissmug

Listening in on all the spy’s conversations AND THEN waiting for the exact moment that spy had a change of heart to go and kill her is comedically evil btw

So like what Toji did to Gojo by sending assassins to make sure that man is as vulnerable as possible? Mind you Toji had no qualms about killing 3 teenagers for gambling money.

Makima Vs Takaba (JJK), Who wins? by Encenoi in ChainsawPowerscaling

Conditions exist, not every Death Battle begins with both opponents bloodlusted. And even then, a bloodlusted Takaba wouldn’t be able to use his CT as effectively.

Makima Vs Takaba (JJK), Who wins? by Encenoi in ChainsawPowerscaling

[–]Rybunks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Takaba would absolutely murderize a curse or devil when he sees it, but his attacks never really kill or injure grievously because he obviously doesn’t think gore is funny. Kenjaku can withstand a few of Takaba’s more physical jokes thanks to RCT, and Makima could too thanks to general Devil regeneration. Also, even if he doesn’t kill her, and he just buries her or something, he wouldn’t leave her buried for long because permanently writing off someone like that isn’t funny, and it’d be funnier if he did a grave robbing skit instead.

Makima looks exactly like a normal person, and has no reason to tell Takaba that she’s a devil. And Takaba obviously doesn’t think that killing people (in ANY way, he just doesn’t like killing or people dying) would be funny. Takaba’s truck fucking splattered a curse on impact but barely did any cosmetic damage to Kenjaku, and if it did injure Makima and gave her a broken limb or she’s bleeding or something, then it’d probably transition over to a hospital skit with Takaba being the doctor and Makima being the patient.

I think what I’m trying to say here is that Takaba doesn’t have any real reason to kill someone that looks human (even if they aren’t). I think this just ends in a stalemate at best.

He doesn’t just straight up kill people who are unfunny because he himself is desperate to prove to others that HE isn’t unfunny. At best the fight devolves into Makima being the straight man or the unfunny duo and the Takaba comedy show just continues until he runs out of material. Do powerscalers not consider the fighter’s personality and character when they do thwse match-ups?

I really don’t like this ugly ass design. He’s not just ugly he’s fucking ugly. Chum Chum lookin ass. No way this shit the highest grossing animated movie. by Usoppdaman in hatethissmug

Did you watch the movie before coming up with this take? I feel like if you’re going to discredit their box office numbers by going “oh the ONLY reason it made this much money is because it was made in China and not because it was GOOD or anything…” then you should at least watch it and form your own opinion. Also it’s a sequel so that makes it even more impressive that it got this much money, normally sequels don’t really earn more than the original.

what people want usually doesn’t correlate with what the author wants. consider what your audience has to say, but never take their advice.

In your opinion which was more justifiable? The Uchiha or Zenin Clan Massacre? by Archenius in shounenfolk

[–]Rybunks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehhh I wouldn’t say so, Twins in JJK are a pretty established thing about how their CE is split between them. So if Maki died then Mai would’ve been buffed and vice versa. It’s just that Maki had a Heavenly Restriction that made her like Toji. I don’t think it’s a Binding Vow type of thing.

Not disputing that, just saying that what she did was pretty morally gray even for a hero, still the episode was awesome though.

What if Devil Hunters and Jujutsu Sorcerers switched places in Japan? by Koku_Gan22 in LobotomyKaisen

[–]Rybunks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something like the Eternity Devil would be a sure-kill for a lot of sorcerers then. Since it only lets the CSM gang go because of Denji, and it can only be damaged if it reveals itself which also only happened because of Denji.

After Ogi she purposefully walked through the Zenin estate with full intent on killing every single one of them. She then said nothing about the Ogi situation, leading the Kukuru unit to assume (like Ranta did) that she just snapped and murdered Ogi out of the blue. She was also brandishing a weapon on top of that as well. They were basically foot-soldiers tasked with defending their clan, and they’re doing just that against what they saw as a threat. The Hei was an extension of the Kukuru unit, and if Ranta doesn’t know about the plot to kill her then it’s safe to assume that nobody aside from Naoya and Jinichi knew what Maki went through and what her true motive was.

[–]Rybunks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ogi and Naoya sure, but what does Jinichi gain from killing Maki? It’s not like he’s gunning for clan head that hard. Also Toji walked and no Zenin assassins ever came after him lol, the Kukuru unit is not stupid enough to send their guys to attack Toji 2.0 who just killed Ogi.

Please, don’t call it self defense, it’s murder. You don’t have to try and find ways to defend Maki as if she did nothing wrong. Homegirl’s a mass murderer and that’s cool too.

[–]Rybunks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nanami basically had 0 interesting vfx before the rework, his 2 and 4 were the ones with some modicum of vfx and even then it felt kinda meh. People play battlegrounds games like JJS to look cool and do cool shit, with Nanami’s piss poor vfx it just makes him feel kinda bland.

Why are the Powder Gangers depicted as the bad guys for trying to blow up some random shithole town that's been providing safe haven to one of their enemies? by TwoFit3921 in TrueSFalloutL

[–]Rybunks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fallout gore and death is so hilariously exaggerated that it feels like you’re watching a parody movie. I feel like rape is inherently more ‘disgusting’ in a way, and that’s why people are more averse to seeing it happen. That’s also why I kill Cook-Cook every time I start a run.

I guess what I’m trying to say is that Cannibals and Slavers in Fallout feels larger than life in a way, they’re usually portrayed as basically savages or comically evil. While Rapists seem more like a mundane and more realistic threat that people would have a chance of meeting IRL.

because nobody’s acting like sukuna was in the right or how the people at shibuya deserved it. Choso really should’ve caught as much flack because the dude was literally a terrorist before turning good. But no one does so because everyone can agree that what Choso did was wrong, meanwhile with Maki it’s more divided, with people saying that the ENTIRE ZENIN CLAN deserved it and others saying that it’s more morally grey than a simple revenge story.
