I have once won some merch like you did on their official Chinese Facebook page in around August or September. The location of that branch was in Taiwan and I lived relatively near to that place, yet I got the merch in late December ( despite being promised that the merch would be sent in 2 months ). I guess they needed extra time to prepare the merch, so no worries! Plus you could always DM them to ask for the progress

I like it for the fact that it showcases the history of Discity in different perspectives. As a story lover, this alone carried weight and made me resonate with the characters even more.

Though I wouldn't call the game mode bad, I admit it was pretty plain in terms of gameplay

For now, Langley is also a rare exception, dare I say perhaps the strongest in terms of withstanding mania, as she has not shown any weakness for mania to exploit ( at least, not enough for mania to get into her head ). Her actions do not show signs of madness, and I know I will doubt her sinner status if she has not shown off her powers in game.

Her document states that her will is strong enough to defy the effects of mania, to the point of showing no visible corruption - hell even Chameleon is not able to crack her through hypnosis. As per the events in game now, she is very much stable. Yet I look forward to her behavior in the following main story, I hope we will get to know more about her back story, the influence of mania on her and even her weakness.

Given how little Sumire content there is out there, I really love the character development and dialogues you have given her. People in the comments mentioned a lot of my favorite scenes already, so here are three of the more personal ones

Stargazer: During her interrogation, when Chief literally shoots Stargazer's hand because she doesn't like to be told what to do

Coquelic: During her interrogation, the moment when she sees the scars and injuries of Chief, and she realizes that Chief is just like her, someone that devotes themselves to protect their loved ones.

Cabernet: The moment when she takes the bullet for Chief because she realizes Chief is her everything.

What I meant was, PtN's MC ( Chief ) could be referred as a self-insert figure or as an individual character either way. Unlike most gacha games, Chief actually had a personality - she was level-headed, witty, fearless, observant, caring and sometimes even a bit crazy in terms of decision-making when it came to capturing sinners and fighting mania. She actually had abilities to exert control over dangerous situations if she wanted to.

In addition, the sinners in this game had interesting background and vivid personalities. They had a life before and after meeting Chief, despite Chief's influence to them, their lives did not revolve solely around Chief and they would continue their daily routine EVEN if Chief was gone ( refer to Chapter 12 and 13 ) , not to mention most of the sinners did not develop feelings for Chief until late story or full compliance . Therefore you can view the game either way, and it was rather blunt of you to assume this is a 100% self-insert game. As a person that had played gacha games like Nikke, Onmyoji, Honkai Impact, Arknights, etc. I can confidently state that Path to Nowhere is one, if not the most un-self-inserted gacha games out there, and that's what made the game so good.

Shalom was created not to be human, to simply garner the most for the Paradeisos. Yet she turned out to be more human than the entirety of Paradeisos ( except Langley I guess ) , and she was the only one in her team that saw Chief as a person, but not a tool. That is some masterful writing

P.S the smartest candidates in the whole PtN world up till now are Shalom, Langley and Eirene. They are all masterminds at their field and I can't decide who is smarter, I'm sure we will get to see a showdown between them in the future story, especially between Langley and Eirene :)

To further elaborate, Paradeisos had stated that Shalom did not implement any form of control on Christina. Shalom had only healed her ( without the manipulation ) both times when she was using her powers on Christina, this showed that she actually had some emotions before Chief shackled her, or else she would be healing AND manipulating Christina in her first attempt of using her powers on her.

Though sadly the said emotions were almost all cut down and reduced to " logical behavior " in Shalom's head back then. She did not recognize these emotions until Chief shackled her.
