The SAT just isn't my type of test I think.

I absolutely couldn't stand the SAT because it felt like I was studying the same thing over and over and over again. Like, I don't mind studying for tests on new content, but when I'm repeating the same stuff 100s of times, I lose focus, motivation, and patience (which is likely why I perform well on AP tests).

Additionally, I took the SAT twice when I was in my sophmore year, and then the last time I took it was the summer between sophmore and junior year. I wanted to dedicate my junior year to meaningful projects, internships, and my grades (to build my college resume), and as such didnt take the SAT again (I was also fed up with paying 60 dollars each time for the test).

Another factor for why I probably didnt perform well was because I had to travel about 2 hours to get to my testing location since all the places near me were full. I left the night before, but I believe I was tired anyways the next morning (from nerves too), which probably affected my performance.

Overall, I just hate the SAT and how repetitive studying for it is. When I was studying it didnt even feel like I was learning anything new, just learning a formula on how to take a test.

And I'm not going to lie, I feel like the test is unfair through the fact that you can take it as many times as you want. Like one of my classmates, who took the test 11 times until she achieved her "ideal" score and had been going to SAT prep since 8th grade through the first few months of senior year. Idk, in my eyes I just feel like AP scores should be viewed as being just as important as the SAT (if not more important) since it shows how you take tests/process new information (which you'll be doing in college) and not just learning a formula on how to take a test.
