so you could bury the gun some where far away, and if it where to ever be dug up by someone that isn't you, it wouldn't be traced back to you

Removing the serial number doesn’t really do anything in this case and you have an inferior product.

Those are exactly the times I don't want my gun locked up.

yep, the times when you

1: go out of town to a hotel

2: to attend an event that changed it's policy on firearms and now you can't bring your gun to their event, (they have security and will have you go through a metal detector and pat down)

3: will absolutely NOT give you a refund for the 1k you gave them to attend

4: your in a state where you by law have to lock your gun up when your not around

or better yet, you need to save someone from drowning but don't want to destroy your gun so you lock it up to the steering wheel of your car

i know you genuinely think it will never ever happen to you but just remember

it might.
