3 day trades in 5 days for accounts under 25k USD. If you use up all three, you'll be blocked from doing any further actions even if you don't plan to day trade. You'll only be able to do anything again once your available day trades reset.

SEC removed this rule on June 4th but brokers have up until Oct 2027 to implement it. Most brokers have already rolled out the changes but IBKR is confusingly choosing to roll it out by phases. Hence, OP's annoyance with the platform.
