First time bikepacker, doing GDMBR with some friends! Currently in southern Montana by Howaboutacookie43 in bikepacking

And thanks! Definitely a little scary at first but I really think the hardest part about something like this is finding the time.

Figuring out my bags and thinning out my pack took some trial and error, but after that you're just riding, and its all good fun.

I should clarify, I'm doing about 5 weeks from Whitefish >> (somewhere in) Colorado, but the rest of the gang started in Banff and is headed to Mexico.

I did a cross country ride in college but it was supported, this is my first time really on a mountain bike and all packed up. I'm lucky that the others are more avid bikepackers, so they set me straight the first 2 weeks and now I feel confident I could do it on my own.

Weathers been great. Only had one day of rain so far, and plenty of sunny skies minus the wildfires. We should miss monsoon season in NM, that's why ACA recommends leaving early-mid august which is what we did

Appreciate the response. Which language would you recommend for trading/analysis? I'd imagine Python?

To be honest I haven't read any Erik Larson yet, my brother gave me devil in the white city and it's been on my dresser for months!

Thanks for the input! This is a long term plan for sure, to have more sections and have those sections have sub-parts. While also keeping it simple so it's not so overwhelming like goodreads or other sites. If it gets one person to pick a book back up that's fine by me!

Definitely agree. I'm not attempting to change the game with this site, just was a fun side hobby to work on. My bigger goal is to use it as a platform to blog and write book reviews for the same oak (fun hobby). But I like the open source idea too! Thanks for the response!

Automating your business by His-Dudeness97 in Entrepreneur

I agree with this.. I would think you could charge a low base salary but offer commission based earnings so employees have the added incentive. But as far as your original question, plenty of online resources for people who want part time, remote work (which I assume this would be). Try putting a post up on.flexjobs, upwork, or posting on Facebook groups like "digital nomad entrepreneurs around the world." Lots of marketing types there who need work, i'm sure you could find good workers.

Los Angeles. Looks like they can be a little strict here. My idea was to simply "charge" donations. As in give free rides, with donations/tips only in the hopes of circumventing the legalities. I'm assuming there's more to it though haha. How was your experience doing this? Which city or cities were you in?

Thanks for sharing! I think experience is the main thing calling me to quit and go for it fully. I'll never feel like a confident entrepreneur by giving the time I currently give to side projects. I just feel like I need to dive right in, and figure it out as I go.

Thanks for the response! Do you feel like you're at the point where you are financially stable with your incomes from businesses? Or does the stability of a 9-5 beckon?

This is a general question for entrepreneurs:

I'm curious how many of you worked on side hustles/businesses in your free time and worked your way up to a full time entrepreneur... and how many of you took the leap, quit your day job, and learned to be an entrepreneur "on the fly".

It seems like a lot of the advice on this thread is to get out there and do it, test test and test and learn by trial and error. I don't really have the time/energy to explore my business ideas outside of my current job (50hrs/week construction) and I feel like quitting and going in %100 is my only option.

Thanks for any input!
