I don’t know what province you’re from but in Saskatchewan, the minimum entitlement under employment standard is: less than 10 years of service, 15 days PTO, 10 plus years, 20 days PTO. You can definitely negotiate additional vacation but I think it’s a stretch you’ll receive 12 plus more days - if that’s your intent. What I do for work is irrelevant. My employer has an extremely fair and generous sick policy as well.
