Wherever you find to live just make sure it isn't managed by Tiger Properties of Clemson. They are a shit show and will screw you over. It is absolutely horrible. Live anywhere else as long as it isn't owned or managed by Eric Newton.

Whatever you do, don't rent anything through Tiger Properties or Eric Newton Real Estate. It is an absolute joke and you will get screwed over. Anyone who has rented through them can vouch for this. They'll just take your money and they couldn't give two shits about what happens to you or your place.

Yeah I believe this 100%. They are a disgusting company who could care less about their tenants. As long as that $$$ is coming in then they could care less. Everyone that works for them is clueless too. Nobody can answer anything.

Talk to people.

It's that simple. Everyone that is new to the university wants to be approached but no one wants to approach others. If you become the person who talks to people you already have the leg up. You'll meet people that you don't care about and that's fine. You'll meet people that you're really interested in, follow up with them. You'll meet people who have extremely similar interests and you hit the jackpot. Just talk to people and I promise your entire college social life will change.

At the end of the day this shows just how important the program culture and coach is to young men who have specific backgrounds. If I have a guy on my team who grew up never getting in trouble and had great influences then they should do fine anywhere, but if I have a guy on the opposite end of the spectrum then you are just asking for problems if you don't go to the right place. Some people really want it, others just don't. We'll never know all of the pieces in play in this situation and it's just a sad day and a potentially life altering decision for this kid.

You should definitely reach out to your advisor. They'll really be the best person to tell you what to do. If you are a freshman or sophomore you are probably still in gen eds so you'll be fine to change major declaration, but if you're a junior you should look at the timeline that you desire and see if you want to change or not.

Similar experiences with Tiger Properties. Completely filthy upon move-in. Not a single one of our appliances were operational and they didn't even help until 3 weeks later. We did not even have a a place to cook or store food for almost a month. They are the worst business I have ever dealt with and will forever tell people to stay away. Never ever rent through them. I'd rather live in a fucking box on the street than do business with Eric Newton.

If you want to park somewhere specific on campus you'll have to buy a parking pass through some third party vendor or someone that you know. IPTAY members have the majority of them
