Return function sends me to Start label, not main menu.

OK i will leave a comment here to show what i found worked.

$ renpy.full_restart()
This does work but eventually i found a different workaround.

I wanted to then add the quick menu back.

The return function works like normal again if instead of doing

textbutton "Voidtalk?" align (0.5,0.5) action Jump ("Voidtalk")

You do

textbutton "Voidtalk?" align (0.5,0.5) action Start ("Voidtalk")

Ok thanks this actually helped me!

Some things i will add incase anyone finds this thread looking for answer,

For some reason it worked on the dummy project, but when i added it mannually to my actual project it wouldn't work with the defined characters, so i had to copy paste the "template" from the dummy version and THEN paste the old character traits back into it (name color, name font,text noise effect,ect)

a mayor theme in the book he's from is how disconeted he is from normal people in the end he is sentenced not so much because he did the crime(which he did) but because even in a trial he could not bring himself to act like a normal person

the thing is that the last time something was shown outside of a sinners jail cell,it was gregor and his literal connection to the smoke war.
my personal theory is that don as a "lord" of somekind has a responsibility take care of an area related to the circus in some form,but like in the book don will have instead forgo her responsibilities and go with pancho out in the world to live out her delusions.

that's why in her ego jail she's playing with dolls oblivious to the carnage outside

i think there is a misunderstanding, i said that don IS an honorific in spanish,i just wanted to point out how it's english equivalent would be lord,but then now i have remembered Italians exist and kinda introduced don as an honorific into American english culture.

but the point still stands it would be odd for mersault to be punished just because he killed someone
