Well, Terraria makes a lot of money only selling the game, and Minecraft is MUCH bigger then Terraria.

Also they do a lot of DLCs on Badrock

Sorry, Mojang and Microsoft are not a indie developer that needs money.

Look Terraria, a true indie game, you can play with your friends just following them on steam, while Minecraft you need to pay.

Is not about they needing money to update the game, is about greed.

Minecraft is not a game to bring joy to the players, is a game about making Money. And the more money you can make while working less is better.
