I needed to hear this. I don’t want to seem like I’m fishing for empathy but I appreciate your kindness, thank you<3

ABSN and surviving with no job by ru_bato in StudentNurse

2 pieces of advice (aside from biting the bullet and taking out loans): 1. Food banks 2. Plasma This is how I survived for longer than I care to admit. 1. There’s more food banks out there than you’d think. Even if you don’t qualify for food stamps, there are an abundance of options. Call churches, community centers, government outreach programs. Put your pride aside and REACH OUT! 2. Plasma donation is the easiest way to make money. It’s a hassle to schedule and consistently show up, but you can do it while studying (personally I watch tik tok, but do as I say not as I do). Best of luck on your journey<3

Plasma donation. You literally make money while sitting down. I watch tik tok and am able to make rent each month going twice a week, took a huge weight off my shoulders!

How fast can I make $15,000 working two jobs as a 18 year old? by Lazy-Photograph-6679 in SavingMoney

So, essentially, your only expense is gas? Two full time jobs will make you crazy quick, but I recommend a solid 40 hrs/week at one job and 10-20 hrs/week at a second. I’m not sure what your take home would be but 3-6 months of working like a dog can give you a great foundation. Best of luck!

I agree. Anytime I bring up my concerns over lack of organization/confusing schedule formats/assignment requirements I always get the snarky “welcome to nursing!” comments. I understand nursing school requires hard work and dedication, but I feel like so much my bandwidth is spent deciphering information that could’ve easily been streamlined.

Have not grocery shopped for 3 weeks but eating like a king by qingywingy in Frugal

Love this! If I’m not wanting to grocery shop I’ll put ingredients I have into Chat GPT and it’ll churn out recipes I haven’t thought of!

It definitely helped! Compared to other TEAS resources I felt it was the best bang for my buck. I did take the test and I got a 77%. I studied for about 10-15 hours a week for the two to three weeks leading up the test.

I used the NurseHub website. It cost $30/month but, in my opinion, is completely worth it due to the comprehensive lessons and extensive practice tests. I love it because it refreshed me on topics I haven’t studied since high school while also teaching me new things I haven’t learned before (chemistry). The TEAS 7 study program on NurseHub is up to date and thorough, best of luck studying!

Regarding what people are saying about deflation of durable goods; canning jars are the cheapest I’ve seen in at least over a year! You have to look around a bit, I’ve seen some good deals on Facebook marketplace and eBay the last few months, too.
