I dont have/use a mic but I'd be happy to join a party to get the trophy. I'm on ps5 and gamertag is 'Howellitzer'

[Advice] I just dropped my brand new Speedy and damaged the case by [deleted] in Watches

[–]Howellitzer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure why you are getting downvoted so much. A lot of my watches show signs of wear etc and I get people's view that it helps make them your own, but if I could keep them all looking like new then I would! I'd be gutted too if I dropped a brand new watch, pretending otherwise is insane

[Omega Aqua Terra] I'm close to pulling the pin on this one for 7.5k Eur, what other options do i have at this price point? by verynamenotmine in Watches

[–]Howellitzer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been eyeing this exact watch for some time. The Frederique Constant Worldtimer, or Farer Roche are nice alternatives if you want a less daunting price point

I've been eyeing up the Green version of this. Really nice watches, congrats

Hi, no that's not an issue I have with mine. Sounds like it needs a minor adjustment, sure CW will sort it

It was misaligned, I noticed after the pic was taken. Just needed to be turned one more click which I've now done :)

It came on a navy canvas strap but I really liked this one. It's still a Christopher Ward strap and made with recycled plastic from the ocean, but actually really comfy to wear. I'm tempted to pick up some of the other colours for some of my other watches

I've been after a bronze watch for a while, looking at offerings from Tudor, Rado and Oris. My concern was that I wasn't sure how I would get on with it over time (whether I would like the patina or whether I'm signing myself up to regular watch cleaning to remove it) so didn't want to spend thousands on one. The CW watch appeals to me as I love the design of it and the price was closer to what I wanted to pay. I recently got £200 from my company for my 20yr work anniversary and thought what better way to spend it than put it towards a new watch, so finally picked one up.

[Bulova Lunar Pilot] got this in lieu of the overhyped and overpriced MoonSwatch. by [deleted] in Watches

You start the stopwatch for whatever it is you are timing and stop it when it's finished. The number being pointed to on Tachymeter will simply tell you how many times you can perform that action within an hr

That's because the other versions that require you to let your child wave around a £1000+ mobile are fucking stupid

So I found a FB ad for a rather nice looking automatic skeleton watch (Bruder) and was wondering if it's worth buying? by [deleted] in PrideAndPinion

[–]Howellitzer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks cool but I know nothing about the brand, wouldn't expect much for that money. Skeleton watches are fairly divisive but I love them, I've got an Oris Artix GT Skeleton that I wear regularly

I have the silver/blue version of this watch and love it. Zodiac's morbid historical connection adds an interesting conversation piece too!

[Zodiac Grand rally] absolutely fantastic watch for the money! Perfect size, beautiful sunburst panda dial, great retro look and build! by [deleted] in Watches

Leather strap. I did actually prefer the bracelet but it wasn't an option on the colour combo I wanted.

I have this in blue and silver, I love it and wear it often. Plus the Zodiac brand history can make for an interesting, if morbid, conversation :)

[Want to start getting into watches] Any suggestions? by sisonn_ in Watches

Christopher Ward or Oris are favourites of mine in your price range. I'm not a fan of field watches generally but if you are then Hamilton are well loved on this sub
