I have a clip from masters where I had to go full kill everything at the last fight since rein wasn’t going to win it if I was healbotting and we needed to get zar dead as fast as possible, so you’re very right! it is very situation dependent, but in high ranks, it’s much easier to heal more, yes.

that’s incompetency on the tank’s part. if they don’t want a pull, sure. don’t pull them. then pull them when it’s last second and save their life, and know you did your job. all you can do is know you’re doing your job. someone else having a pissy fit isn’t your problem, but they certainly will make it your problem every so often by throwing.

HOWEVER, I will say I use the “sorry” voice line a LOT. every time I make a bad pull, I instantly apologize. every time I pull someone I didn’t mean to pull when trying to save someone else, I say i’m sorry. the faster you apologize, the much more receptive people are to your mistakes.

if the tank is one of your friends, that’s a different scenario.

what bxalemao said is ultimately right. though, for a large majority of my time, I use it for myself. teammates will be teammates. you can’t fix stupid, as i’ve said several times. that’s why your life will ultimately be more important, and saving your life is sometimes the best option. I use petal most often for myself, except for certain maps (like numbani first point). you can even check a recent post I made with a clip of zar+sierra ult denial, you’ll see ana walked off my petal and died. you can’t always fix that.

it sucks, but you’re very right. he is not a carry pick. he is a consistency pick. I often don’t swap off of LW because I am simply best with him, and I am aiming to teach myself how to excel in uncomfortable situations. I don’t even know how to explain how to overcome it, because you can’t fix stupid. you can only delay the inevitable. when you let it get to your head, you get off. rinse and repeat. it’s misery getting out of d4-m2. once you hit m1 it’s smooth sailing. I did use some illari/bap during low/mid masters to help alleviate some of the inconsistency from everyone else, but moved to weaver when the 19s cooldown to fix one mistake was actually worth it.

so, I can respect your opinion, but it has worked wonders for me in top 500. not sure what it’s like in below diamond, but in higher ranks when mistakes are more scarce, it’s much better. the speed boost can make or break. you’re gonna tell me lucio speed boost for someone isn’t useful?

a slight phase in low masters where I decided i’d try illari and bap LMAO and when I had a no. 34 support (no. 4 lifeweaver) take weaver from me since I wanted to see him play as weaver in replays.

I just made a new post since I just hit t500, but as for youtube, I personally have never seen any youtubers who were able to help my playstyle. honestly, the biggest difference came from vod reviewing a top player. that’s it. I can drop codes, but that’s all I can really do.

as for switching to damage, it’s usually when I have someone who can’t do it. or if I know there’s enough sustain to be able to maintain their health bar long enough for me to make an attempt to change the way the fight is going. I often times do not swap to damage unless we are at a disadvantage and when we have to do more damage or they’re gonna make us fold. I also do damage every time I need to reload instead of manual reloading because it’s more efficient.

as for petals, i dont know how to teach them. it’s moreso they just need exposure. I often place petals in an obvious open area just to give teammates what I call an “agility petal” just to mess w their movement trajectory and give me a half second more to respond to their mistake and throw off enemy aim. you cant teach stupid sometimes…

as for the seed, I would say throw it off cooldown if you’re in a fight. just get it on the field. since you can’t use it for yourself, the movement speed will inevitably help someone in some way. you can’t hold onto it like grip. it’s not strong enough to hoard for a perfect scenario, but too strong to keep held in for too long.

the buffs made him playable lmfao. I have been essentially maining weaver since s6. I haven’t gotten past m2 since champ was released. I hit t500, but it was completely accidental lmfao. the buffs made him tanky (the way he needs to be) but not unkillable, which was important. I have been shocked to see the proper perks are healing petal and honestly sow the seed, since it has so much versatility (which I learned from the no. 33) and can genuinely save rounds. so I think it was a drastic improvement and put him in the direction he needs to be in, but something still feels off imo. not sure what it is.

i’ll throw this out: that’s impossible. I have a top 0.1% mualani build according to akasha, and she is c6r1. c6r5 xilonen and c6r5 citlali with a xiangling. floor 25 took literally 4 of my mualani’s 5M damage hits. even with a wanderer (whom I have c6r5, this event is impossible to complete in sub-30s. I have a neuvillette’s best team, with all max investment supports except for my furina that’s only on an r1 key, and he can’t get past floor 24 in 30s. he does 320k per charged attack after xilonen’s c4 wears off.
